I suppose I have a virus. It only happens on 1 specific website that I go to, and I get misdirected to either a website that never loads, or I get directed to the google play store. I have tried 3 different web browsers, and it happens in every single one. Does anyone have any idea how to take care of this?

Go to your browser settings and turn off JAVA Script.
Depending on what browser you use the steps are slightly different. It's a pain because you have to turn it on and off depending on what site you are on and if others sites make JAVA a must. It's not just android, iPhones have the same problem.

yes why only this one specific site?? makes using the site in question on a mobile useless...

The hoop does it to my android and work iphone. No problems with any other site. Have to disable JAVA, problem is,I cannot see some attachments ehen they are posted.

The ads have forced phone users to turn off java script, pretty much impossible otherwise because the redirects just keep happening. Hopefully down the road Hammer can find a solution that will work.

Believe me I knew what site you were talking about....just got worse with new upgrade

I have had the same issue for a while now. I'm not going to bother to disable JAVA for just one site. I would just ask everyone to be patient and wait for the mobile site that is coming soon. I'm sure that Hammer is aware and is dealing with it. In the meantime I just packpage when those show up on my phone.

I agree about being patient. Turning JAVA on and off is a small inconvenience considering the site is free. I use two browsers. Chrome for the hoop and the standard browser for other shit. Only time I turn JAVA on for chrome is to read tweets posters attach. Other than that no issues.

Just had a weird thing going on with my iPad, the banner at the top that has Sportshoopla logo was black and started accumulating avatars from others posters in it, very strange. Logged out then back in , problem solved. That was a problem I never ran into before.

Take your droid device. Open Chrome and point it to adblockplus.org.

It will warn you to allow unknown sites to install apps and gives you a general heads up how to find that setting. Google it if you can't figure it out. Click download and then click the file after the DL is complete. If you followed it correctly you will get a short configure screen.

The default is for it to ONLY block INVASIVE ads. Leave that checked.

It should block those asshole scripts while still leaving normal ads. Everyone wins. Hammer gets his ad revenue and droid users don't have to be frustrated surfing it.

Note: I installed it, but seldom surf the forum from my device. I will say I haven't had a forwarder or anything harsh since installing it. And the normal ads still populate on the pages.
