Any of you fellers have any short cuts or helpful ways to learn algebra?

A= B+3 ( 4-C )

B = 5. C = 2

Been a while since I studied algebra bout ten years but I need to relearn For my apprenticeship

If B = 5 and C = 2 what you do is change the C in the equation to a 2, then do the same for the B so the equation looks like this:

A = 5 + 3 (4-2)

Then you solve from there.

A = 5 + 3 (2)
A = 5 + 6
A = 11

If you need more help check out https://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra

He has a ton of helpful videos on just about every subject.

Looks to me as if you need to substitute B=5 and C=2 from the second line into the first line to yield
A=5+3(4-2)=5+3(2)=11.

It took me 4 tries to figure Algebra out. Failed twice, got a "D" once, then it clicked. Ended up getting an A+ in algebra, trigonometry and geometry. Can still figure that shit out after 25 years.

3/7 - 3/2?
Because 3/2 is really 1 1/2 and it's bigger than 3/7? :noidea:
If you convert it using the LCD (lowest common denominator), it becomes
6/14 - 21/14 = -15/14

But don't quote me on that. I'm pretty rusty with maths myself :L
