So we are doing our supplemental draft in my dynasty league and I am trying to decide which player to take. I currently have Carpenter at 2b for this season and Wong as a backup. Looking into next year I will like lose eligibility at 2B for Carpenter. So I am looking for a solution in a prospect. Other notables that are FA's include Daniel Murphy who I feel the SB's were out of no where and I don't expect he will do it again. Marcus Semien who really doesn't have a set position but I think most likely take over SS for Alexei Ramirez eventually. Semien could be a 20/20 guy from the middle infield position but my position need is 2B. And finally Nick Franklin. Could hit 15/15 but with Seattle getting Cano pushes him in a battle over SS with Brad Miller or one of them could end up being traded. He has been targeted to the Mets who would likely use him as SS also. So my question is who should I draft? I already have Everth Cabrera at SS and Brad Miller as a backup SS. Should I draft the best player or draft for position? Who do you think I should draft? I am also eyeballing DeShields Jr. who likely won't play infield but is someone who I think will be better than Billy Hamilton because he can actually hit the ball and get on base. So their are the options who would you choose and why? Thanks in advance.

Nick Franklin would look very stylish in a Mets uniform. Just sayin'...

And seriously, he is the guy I'd take a shot with. Kid is not gonna be a bench player.

Well the Mets have Flores too so I don't see how that would work out. If they bring in Franklin where would Flores go?

Even though they are hinting about Flores playing SS, I don't see it long term. In any event, if Franklin doesn't get traded to the Mets, I think he will be starting somewhere. This is down the road for your team, correct?

Well I have Wong right now as a backup 2b to Carpenter who will eventually lose eligibility at 2b next year so yes I am looking for a 2b for 2015.

Both similar value. Might take Betts over both...would definitely take Odor.
All good young 2B. But don't miss out on higher talents just to fill a position of (possible) future need.

Betts isnt available in ESPN leagues. We dont have a minors league so the players in the FA pool are who we have to draft.

I am also looking for a power who wont hurt my avg. Names such as Hart, Morneau are really the only guys I see that have power + wont hurt your AVG too much. Byrd also FA.
