Wondering what the Blue Jays do as it relates to signing Encarnacion and bautista. I think they bring back the former but the latter I think moves on.

Bautista's still a good hitter, but he should strictly be DHing at this point. Can't run and can't field, was barely worth over 1 WAR last year.

Do the Jays have any up and coming internal OF options?

Dalton Pompey is probably the most likely one.

interesting read. I would have figured he had a lot more troll votes than what he was saying he had, but he never said how many votes he had per team.

Szymbroski also released his very early ZiPS projections. Sox projected to win 86 games, tied for the 2nd most with the Dodgers, Astros and Giants. Cubs are projected to finish with 92 wins. Not sure what he projects the rest of the AL East to do (I don't have Insider).

2017 standings projections: Cubs' odds, surprise contenders and more

You can also find Steamer projections for all 30 teams on Fangraphs.

Depth Charts » Red Sox | FanGraphs Baseball

Depth Charts » Projected Standings | FanGraphs Baseball

Fangraphs currently has the Sox projected to go 90-72 in 2017, 3rd in MLB. Dodgers are 2nd (92-70) and Cubs are first (94-68). It'll be interesting to see how things shake out throughout the offseason.

Nice pickup for them.
Likely means Edwin is gone (Jose'a a foregone conclusion at this point) but good cheap DH replacement for some dongers.

I like the Cuban signing too. Might get a shot later in the year if he adjusts to the minors well enough and could allow them to try and dump Tulo's contract before 2018 to give them more money to re-sign Donaldson.

I think they'll make a big play for Fowler too and either trade Pillar in a package for a corner OF or move him to left. They have the flexibility of being able to move a starter in a package thanks to having Lindor around. Could be a good time to sell high on Estrada and go bargain bin hunting again.

Yea Bautista is gone for sure. I hope Edwin gets the fuck out of the AL East unless he was to come to Baltimore lol.

I figure with the Morales signing one of Edwin or Bautista won't be back, real good signing for them for sure.

Trumbo's a free agent isn't he? Could be a name to watch on the market for sure.

But who? A team that misses out on bautista? Good power bat, will be interesting to see where he ends up.

I'd rather have Holliday.

I've been reading Beltran might be the guy. That wouldn't be horrible. Switch hitter too, which is always a plus.
