We should recover money each time he strikes out. We'd be making a fortune.

Hes gotta get his ass in the OF or hes gonna be done playing when Polanco and Royce return.

the DH is gonna be needed for much better bats.

Yes I am reading that he has hit every time hes worn a twins uniform. And every time hes been in AAA. And everytime hes hit since he lost sesons to COVID and injury. Shit, even as a 19 year old he hit well.

Basically he sucked at 20 years old lol.
as far as #1 overall picks go- he leaves a LOT to be desired. But I guess we shall see.

want to make a bet?

Ill bet from this day till the end of the season Gimenez has a better*****WAR**** than Julien.

Why Julien?? Julien is shitting on Gimenez

Why not Polanco whose gonna be back this weekend. Hes the one you claim is a journeyman and cant hold the bat of a one year wonder.

there are plenty of prospects that have hit in the minors on every level that just cant hit major league pitching

usually pitchers translate better but get injured a lot more.

Polanco's career numbers are .270/.333/.445- I mean- thats a decent regular. He has never had a season as good WAR wise as Gimenez last year.

And Gimenez never had anything remotely close to last year prior to that, and his numbers in 2023 aren't remotely close to last year.

true- I do not think many guys have had 7+ WAR seasons.

That's not to say that I think this is his true talent level (though he did outperform his statcast metrics by a good margin last year). Even if it is, he's still a useful player.

Regardless who wins this division. We definitely want the Astros to get hot.

Twins have lost 18 playoff games in a row and until they prove they can win one they probably get swept again should they make it.

But boy I like their chances against 3-5 in the AL east a lot more than Houston as a potential 6 seed.

Its 80% Twins with Bieber now down.

Rotation of Civale, 3 rooks who are on innings limits, and I dont know who is not going to get it done. Only real chance the Guards have is if it stays close and Bieber comes back in mid-late August, and Quintrell comes back to be the 5th guy and pitches decent along with guys like Bell and Gimenez getting going.

Also- addition by subtraction by replacing STraw in center would help

I dont understand why Gonalzez is still rotting in the minors for you guys. If that was Twins id be ranting daily.

Sure, he fucking blew ass earlier this year but it wasnt even 100 Abs. He was really solid last year with a good average and lots of doubles. And hes slugging over .500 in AAA this year.

With all the stiffs(namely Straw) that you keep trotting out there daily, I dont get that at all.

Buxton heater in coming??

Lance Lynn is totally cooked. But Buxton loves to go on mini rampages. Would be a good time for one.

Agreed.

Regardless, it nice to see his emotions after the first. Shows that he actually cares about performing at a high level.

Home run ball really killing Ryan now.

With his fast ball dominant repetoire not surprising that balls are getting squard and flying more in the mid summer. Has to limit it a bit tho.

Should we be lucky enough to play in October should not be as much of an issue. WHIP is still excellent. But the long balls are killing him.

I'm going to see Buck get right for another game or two. Lynn was throwing up BP tonight and took one for his team.
