IIRC in the 4 previous meeting against Lamar, the Chiefs have only 'stopped' him once. 2 games where Mahomes just barely outplayed him. 1 game where CEH fumbled and blew the game.

Hate to say it, but I'm feeling like I could be an honorary Ravens fan this week... Feels like they've earned it this year.

Torn though. Because deep down I hope they fail. But I respect them.

nothing but respect for the Ravens. They could be the very best ran organization in football. I remember thinking they screwed up drafting Lamar late round 1.

Football remains about the mindset to me. The Ravens always seem to have their quota of those guys.

I'll say the same thing I said about the Bills game. This feels like it'll either be a close Chiefs win or the Ravens will blow the Chiefs out. The Ravens are probably the Chiefs worst matchup in the league and probably the best team in the league. There is a pretty good chance that Mahomes, Reid, and Kelce put on a show and we're looking at the two best teams in the league in a really fun game like the previous matchups between the two teams. The Ravens defense is better suited to go against the Chiefs now than it used to be, though. There is also a pretty good chance the Ravens LBers take Kelce out of the game and the Chiefs receivers drop a bunch of passes and it all falls apart.

I hope KC wins for a SB rematch with Mahomes but Ravens are by far the best team left imo. It is going to take KC magic and a Ravens off game for the upset.

Mahomes is incredible but he can't do everything. Ravens defense is playing unreal. It is going to be extremely difficult to score 21 points or more against them.

I think the Ravens take this. Allen was able to run all over the Chiefs, I can't imagine what Lamar will do. And while the Bills do not have a slouch defense, half their starters were out and meanwhile the Ravens are good to go. I'm thinking Ravens 24, Chiefs, 16. Butker will need to have his leg ready.

The Ravens are the better team. They should win.

But.....Mahomes has shown up in the playoffs over and over and Lamar has been shaky.

Also, the NFL brought in Shawn Smith to ref this one and this dude's crew apparently heavily favors the road team in recent years.

And we all know which team the NFL wants in the Super Bowl.

do not discard the QB and his play caller/game planner BUT I think the story will KC's defense and their ability to get turnoverS... cause otherwise, Ravens could score 35 plus.

but wouldn't 45 to 42 be special. Now ask yourself, as good ss Mahomes is, do you see Balt. giving up that many points?
