I remember watching Wahoo McDaniel play - he was a good player, but he drove my Dad crazy by "tackling ball carriers forward" as my dad would say. Chief Wahoo was a wrestler and he figured anyway you get a guy down was good, but sometimes he would fling them to the ground in the direction where they got extra yardage.

There are some crazy stories about Wahoo when he played at OU. Like the time he was playing cards in a dorm room and one of the guys bet him that he couldn't run from Norman to Ardmore. So Wahoo got up in what he was wearing at the time and took off and did it. About 80 miles.

A few more things about Wahoo - he was married 5 times to 4 different women - and his all-star (state champion) Pony league baseball coach was George Herbert Walker Bush the 41st president. He played a lot of golf with his buddy Lee Trevino who said Wahoo was the angriest man ever to play the game of golf. In another story wahoo was being robbed by a guy in the parking lot who wielded a baseball bat - Wahoo pistol whipped the robber, but the gun went off and wounded Dirty Dick Slater (another wrestler) in the leg. Wahoo was also on the Jets team when Joe Namath was a bonus boy rookie.

but just think flinging the guy down was good two ways intimidation and knocking the player out of the game

I keep seeing all these rumors about Wade going to Oakland and the Raider fans are all salivating. Losing Wade would suck to high heaven but allowing him to coach the Raiders D would kill me. I love Wade. Say it ain't so, Broncos!

I don't really think he and Del Rio would work good together, but what do I know?

I think Wade wants full control of the D and Del Rio wants a lot of say in the D.. Not sure they will work together, that is sorta the reason why Wade is said not to be back here if we sign a D minded coach.

Dear John Elway,

Perhaps you've heard of me. I'm MileHigh64 and the reigning POTM on Sports SportsHoopla Broncos Board. We're all big fans of yours and we can't tell you how much we all appreciated Super Bowl 50. Your leadership has delivered the Broncos to the promised land once again and it's right up there when you were giving us all Super Bowl Championships.

Well, here's the thing.....there are rumors circulating around the franchise that you all may not retain Wade as the Broncos defensive coordinator. Now of course we trust in your instincts as a football God but we implore you to consider how much Wade means to this team and it's fans. If Wade is not here, who would keep us updated on current dance moves and celebrations on Twitter?

So, Wade stays or we'll string you up by your cleats. The Hoop has spoken. Be forewarned.

Oh yeah.....and thanks again for all your work for the Broncos!

Now re-sign Wade and get your ass down to the Combine!
