Tonight's game is an example of why I have little confidence the Sox can pull off any kind of run for the division. It's a joke that Masterson's still getting any starts.

I'm more worried about the development of young players (Bogaerts, Swihart, etc.) than I am about their playoff hopes at this point. If they find a way to make the playoffs, that's great. After 2012/14, I'm kinda numb to the mediocrity. But that's what made 2013 so satisfying.

Jays are beginning the ritual July coming-back-to-earth process.

That Boston series was fucking dog shit, but I'll give them that playing the Tigers White Sox (including a Sale start) and Royals consecutively on the road is pretty difficult these days. Still, if you want to be taken seriously you need to do well against these teams and this weekend wasn't a good start.

Make or break series with the White Sox this week for the Jays. If they can win at least 3 then they'll be alright, any less than 3 and they might be in tough to make the playoffs.

I would really love to know when does Girardi remove CC from the rotation. If he keeps him in the rotation it likely will cost us the division and a playoffs spot
