Yet Kennedy has the better xFIP. Zimmerman's K-rate tumbled and probably isn't coming back. He'll be a 3.80 ERA guy going forward most likely.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH I can't believe you are actually arguing Kennedy is comparable to Zimmerman... Kennedy is fucking trash.

Projected 4.13 FIP vs 4.08. The difference is probably negligible.
Projections are cool... Fangraphes projected the Royals to win about 80 games last year... Projections are retarded.. Want to place a bet which pitcher is better this year?

You do realize that Kennedy hasn't had an ERA closer than .6 since 2011 right?

This should be fun.

I am just surprised you actually are happy about the Kennedy signing.. if he was the big addition to my rotation i would be puking my guts out.
No, I was pretty unhappy with how the contract was done actually. I for one would have preferred Latos on a 1 year deal. If it was for 50 million and front loaded I could have lived with it.

Who the hell are the Royals putting in RF? Seriously... The Tigers were getting flack from the media for Tyler Collins.. but Tyler Collins would be an upgrade over what ever turd KC is going to use.

Dyson's defense alone is going make RF average. The offense is going to be awful out of RF for sure though.

Pushing all the money to the back is going to blow up in KC's face bad if they don't make the playoffs this year and they don't get the revenue of a long playoff run. Its already been said they are going to lose money this year if they don't make the playoffs.

That is an understatement.... You are going to have the worst RFer offensively in all of baseball.. I can't think of a worse RF situation.

Which is why I find the 70 million total so perplexing. They either must think he'll be an allstar here or just want to pay him for mentorship which is moronic. Either/or is weak justification with how the contract is structured, imo.

I think they were desperate for a starter that can eat innings and Mike Leake told them to fuck off when he signed with the Cards.
