Sigh. With the offseason coming up in 4 days, I pose this question: Would it been easier to swallow this season if the team tanked in the first half or made it just more prolonged agony? Actually, I pose two questions. The second is: Would the Giants really sold off some of their players at the trading deadline if they were this awful in the first half? A third question: If so, who do you think they would have/could have traded?
Assuming the same player performances in the first half, but with an abysmal w/l record, I think there would have been a few trades.

Pagan
Casilla
Romo
Suarez
Belt (maybe)
Pence (doubtful)
Gearrin

Posey, Panik, Crawford, Duffy, Span would all have stayed put. Same with the rotation, outside of Suarez. Blach and maybe Beede would have gotten second half looks over Moore and Suarez.

Apparently, other teams' closers blow saves from time to time. However, it seems only our team loses those games.
I still have a hard time believing that the Giants have not caused a single 9th inning blown save all season.

I'd say look at it from the perspective of 2nd half production (or lack thereof). Not sure I see Suarez getting traded though. I do think that Pence, Pagan, Casilla, Romo and maybe Gearrin get shipped out. However, I have my doubts the Giants would trade that many players.

I seriously think it might be better if we don't make the playoffs.

Cueto is a beast. Even on an off night (which tonight kinda looks to be), he pitches like an upper-rotation guy...

It was like the Umps had dinner plans. They raced off the field in a near sprint (exaggerating, of course).

Granted, IDK what the hell Bryan Price was thinking. Challenge that crap regardless, don't wait for someone to call and tell you. Nothing to lose.

Absolutely.

But he was only given 34 seconds from the point the run scored to the point the umps were in the tunnel. And the LFer played the ball (like he should have) instead of throwing his arms up.

So apparently the Umps did look at it. Not sure if it was an "official review" or just the umps watching video on their own "after the game"

Did the Giants make more trades last night? Who are these small-ball players?

Looked out, from the first angle. Other angles were inconclusive.

Don't agree, but happy to lose that argument.
