Hoskins, who was called up to the Phillies on Aug. 10, is the fastest player in major league history to get to 17 career homers. The record was 42 games by Wally Berger, an outfielder for the Boston Braves in 1930.

I hate myself for saying this, but..."that's not the yankees fault."

Need shower
I didn't say it was their fault. I'm pointing out that crying because the Red Sox faced the Phillies when the Yankees faced the Mets is stupid, even if the Mets were expected to be better before the season started.

Oh I agree that it's stupid any time a Yankee cries

no one knew what this meant or what it was for, but they were booed loudly when escorted out.
ANTIFA Boston has taken responsibility, tho the people who dropped the banner deny that.

I think we've all missed the mark. I think they're pro America and racism. It's Boston, after all.

ehh

i mean- i just dont agree

they are taking their time bringing miller back, playing a ton of kids like Erik Gonzalez, Yandy Diaz, Greg Allen--- having urshela playing 2nd base one day.. etc.......pitching guys like freaking Nick Goody and Tyler Olson in crucial situations yesterday.

Jose Ramirez has sat out almost half a dozen games during the streak- Bruce has sat out like half a dozen games during the streak. Talking of playing Kipnis in center.

i dunno.

i think that there is some truth to what you are saying- but its not like Francona is even CLOSE to managing games in a way where they "have" to win this game to keep the streak alive....most of the time it feels like the opposite to be honest.

Maybe a little wishful thinking cause its our likely opponent, and I would trust Francona in that spot more than anyone

I just started thinking that the other night when Kluber started the 9th, raised an eyebrow

rhys hoskins now has 17 HR in 33 games

As if the the league needed any more evidence that there is some new PED that is getting slipped by the piss testers.

So now in the last year we've had three rookies that had months where they were homering at a torrid pace. Two of those rookies happen to be on the Yankees and now the Philly rookie is getting in on the act.

Nothing to see here, all perfectly normal. . .

Mets were the NL favorites this season

A WS and playoff team the past 2

What? No. Some folks said the Mets would have the best pitching in baseball.

<falls out of chair laughing>

Fuck you, @yoga≈surfing.

<falls out of chair laughing again>

No one had them as the favorites in the NL. Cubs.

Speaking of the win streak . . . not to take anything away from the Indians, but are the Tigers after the Martinez and Verlander trade now the worst team in the AL? Miggy is a shell of his former self, Fulmer is hurt. That franchise does not look good.
