Like I said I still like Jordan for the #1 GOAT but I think its close.
I think James is a better rebounder, passer, 3 pt shooter than MJ........Lebron not the defender MJ was but he is pretty good........I believe Lebron has a higher FG%.....Lebron is pretty close and we will see how is career plays out.

Strictly opinion obviously, but MJ is the purest scorer the game has ever seen. He hardly knew what passing meant until Phil Jack got there (much like Kobe) and had to carry a team much like Lebron's current team but in a loaded Eastern conference.

So MJ is a more pure scorer than Lebron, way more clutch, more rings, more dominant at his position on defense... But Lebron is a better rebounder, 3 point shooter and passer so that makes it close or that Lebron is better all-around? No.. Nobody dominated on both sides of the floor like Jordan. We can play the IF game like these Lebron nutt huggers do on here. IF Lebron had a coach, IF he had help, etc. What IF Jordan played in a weak Eastern conference like Lebron has? What IF Jordan didn't take off 2 years? 8-9 rings?


Lebron is more comparable to Magic Johnson with his size and how he plays the game. Not as good of a passer, but who was really? Lebron is still a good passer sure and scorer as well, also better than Magic on D. Lebron also didn't play in a league as physical as MJ/Magic and with dominant centers in the paint.

To me it's MJ above all others, Lebron and Magic 2a-2b or however you want to do it.

Different game now, different era, different style aka 3 point shot and these cats in the NBA really don't start playing D until April. Amazing how you go back and see how many teams in the 90s averaged over 100 points -- 3-5 per year? Now? It's almost every team in the NBA.
