That fucking guy. I've had him since he was a prospect in a keeper league, but I don't think I can keep him this year. If I drop him, he'll sort it all out next year, guaranteed.
What's he going to sort out, though? His batting average? I think his ceiling for BA is maybe .235-.240. He's Adam Dunn. He's Chris Davis. He's a classic 'all or nothing' guy. He may hit more homeruns. Maybe he'll reach 50 one of these years. But he will always have a ton of strikeouts and a BA below.250. At least, that's my take on him anyway.

Trade in our league went down today: Mookie for Billy Hamilton. Dumbasses in our league never heard of the 'veto' option. Zig got Mookie.

Hey Dirt, why didn't you veto this trade? Dumbass New Yorkers.

I don't disagree, but if I drop him, he's going to sort it out, keep the power and raise his BA to .280. That's how it works.

That OPS is the number of the beast!

<makes cross sign on chest, then scratches nuts>

So the question becomes, how much of this is MLB pitchers adjusting and finding the holes in his swing, and how much of is it that he fucked up his swing at the HR Derby.

Frankly, I don't really give a shit. The less I see of that ugly bastard on TV, the better.

Meh. There's one team you could root for and not enjoyed it that much.

Or you lost fucking MONEY on it because ONE TEAM decided they couldn't hold multiple leads

Steal Away by Robbie Dupree.

I could do without this shit, although it would probably be significantly more tolerable if I was on a lake or pool instead of my office.

Has to be the best catch in years

As soon as Vasquez hit it, it was gone

Costas says "but Zimmer camps under it"

Camps under your balls Bob

But he is the best doing baseball

You know, I've always liked Costas generally, been a little meh on his baseball play by play skills. But last night I noticed two things about him:

1) He seemed very pleased with himself throughout the broadcast. He's probably always been like this and I haven't noticed but when I noticed it, I couldn't shake it. Now he'll probably always seem that way.

2) Like the Zimmer call, he seemed to have a hard time judging what was going to happen with the ball in play. As in something was going deep but was merely a fly out or vice versa.
