Yet another completely off topic question...

I am looking at getting a dog. Outside of the humane society, what is a good place to look at getting a dog. I don’t want to go through a breeder. I prefer the adoption route.

You could always scope out your neighbors' dogs and steal the one you like best. Or, if you prefer the route that doesn't alienate you to those around you and possibly land you jail time, you could always look at Craigslist for dogs or go to the local pet store. Doesn't the Padres have a few dog adoption days each year?

Going the pet-store route is the same as going the breeder route. Mutts are more friendly and healthier, anyway.

Humane Society is likely the route I will go. I like what they do. I am just looking for other alternatives.
