yeah the mets were no hit by some 27 year old junkballer who plunked 3 batters.

now the the real stats:

according to the elias sports bureau, eduardo rodriguez of the sox is off the THE best start for a pitcher since the earned run became a statistic.

he is the first pitcher in MLB history to go at least 6 IP, allow 1 ER or less, and fan at least 7 in his first 3 MLB starts.

his ERA after 3 starts is .44

20.2 IP
8 hits
1 ER
7 walks
21 k's

.73 WHIP

Let's see will the NBA have LeBron lose another game? NOPE!!

Wild pitch and the Red Sox lose, welp, can't say they've lost that way this year so far, so thats something.
Ramirez goes down yet again.

Rodriguez looks to be pretty good. Hope he can keep it up!

Eli is great
everyone is raving about jimmy in OTA's tho, even with the 4 picks.

"great command of the huddle, making great throws, lots of poise"

Well they haven't seen a guy that complete a pass over 8 yards in a long time

Correa had his first standout game as a major leaguer Tuesday against the White Sox, as he went 2-for-4 with his first home run and first stolen base of his career.
Spin:
This is why Houston picked Correa first overall in 2012. Correa is entering an American League shortstop pool that doesn't have a qualified hitter with an OPS above .750 or a slugging percentage above .425. It isn't hard to imagine Correa being the best hitting shortstop in the American League over the rest of the season.

When a rookie steps in and people can reasonably predict that he'll be the best hitter at his position over approximately 70% of the season, it shows how shitty that position is.

I more or less ignore 2B and SS in my leagues. They're just worthless positions.
