Conflicted feelings about Cueto here
Let him go til you don’t have to keep him in. But take him out if there is any other sign of discomfort, regardless of other circumstances.

Flem and Kruk are talking about the funkiness of the Core 4, and how it played up to their advantage. I think, to add onto that, that each pitcher brought a drastically different look from their repertoire which helped a lot too.

You had Romo with a nasty slider, and a high 80s fastball.

Then you had Casilla throwing 95 at you with an over the top curveball in the 70s.

For lefties you had Lopez throwing darts on the corner from the side at the mid 80s, and a sweeping breaking ball.

Then you had Affeldt throwing a sinker in the low/mid 90s and a huge, knee buckler curve.

Add Wilson to the group throwing a 100 and a slider in the 90s.

Each guy as very distinct and gave the Pen a drastically different look each time, and I think that helped a lot too. If your trotting out guy after guy that are all throwing the same thing, batters will eventually adjust. Each guy was funky in there own way (arm angle and such), but they each had distinct pitch types.

Wow.

I LOVE the life shown there by JC. That is what this team needs.

Felt like we were watching a team of zombies last year. Cutch bringing that fire, Cueto hyped up again, the Panda always keeps it lit. Longoria showing some flare as well.

One of the probs of having two hard asses like Posey and Bum as the team leaders.
