You seen all the Ian Desmond errors? Costly ones too! I also noticed that Desmond fielded the RBI groundout off of Holt's bat that scored the eventual winning run. He looked towards home and really thought about it, as he did have a play at the plate. But 6 errors later, he doesn't seem to have the confidence to make that play. Don't discount the fact that Desmond's defense could suffer beyond the basic errors. If he's worried about making these basic plays, it will be that much harder for him to make the big plays. And comments from him do confirm that he's very worried right now.
So my suspicions are correct then. This winter the Fraudkees will give him a 6 year/$132 million contract to play shortstop for them.

I thought the number 42 was retired in honor of JR. I see everyone is wearing it now. Rampant and blatant racism!

Rock, how many games can Boston win when they keep giving up 6+ innings?

That was the 3rd one in the last 4 games.

Pitching is an issue for them; as advertised. But they've also won all 3 of their series this season. Their lineup is as good as anyone's. They only need decent pitching to survive. But they haven't even been getting THAT lately.

The Phillies are old and washed up.
The Yankees are old and a bad offensive team.
The Nationals are a good series win for Boston.
The first two the Sox did what they are supposed to do, the third series is a good win.

Even as bad as the Sox pitching was advertised to be this year, 3 6+ run innings in 4 games is worse.

I don't disagree with that. But the starters were pretty damn good the first time through the rotation. There aren't that many teams that can hit anymore. The pitching was fine against 2 such teams(PHI and NYY).

it's only 1 day a year, dude....get over it.......lol

We are all familiar work MLB's terrible history with minorities. But having everyone wear the number(and retiring his number throughout the game) is wayyyy overcompensating in the other direction. It's a bunch of bullshit.
