I liked my Winchester Ranger Model 94 lever action 30-30 when I had it, but there are a lot more fun guns to shoot than that.

A Marlin 336 would be a good choice if you just have to have a lever action. Very rugged and come primarily in 30-30 (but you can get thim in a few other calibers too).

If you like your scoped 300 or 308 bolt-action, you might not like lever actions, but to each his own.....

i want a gun i can get deer with out to 150 or so
my shot gun witha rifled barrel im fine out to 100
but want a little extra range

If you're a good shot the 336 would do it.

Personally I couldn't easily hit anything past 100 yards with my ranger, but then again admittedly I'm not a very good shot with bare sights.
