Being a Stewart fan for the better part of a decade I've really grown to dislike this race. He's just had one heart-breaking race after another down there, especially at the 50th running when leading on the last lap down the backstretch. :(

A lot like Earnhardt, who took what ..... almost 20 years to win it? I hear ya though. I'm not a fan of this 2 car draft they have now. Although, I'm not really a fan of the pack racing either.

I refuse to expect to see him win this race seeing that the winner of the 500 is usually unexpected

I love the restrictor plate races. They all run about the same speed and when they crash it's usually a bunch of them..:fear:

There are certain NASCAR races that I make apt. TV though:

Richmond x2
Bristol x2
Indy
Daytona x2
Darlington
Sears Point
Watkins Glenn

I pull for the former Indy car guys, (Stewart, Montoya, Robby Gordon)

Yea, those are all pretty unique tracks and usually result in good racing. Richmond is one of my favorite tracks. The road courses are always a nice break in an oval dominated circuit. I'd like to see a few more RC's. And Darlington is another one of my favs. Probably biased on that one, because it's right down the road and it was my first race.

I like Stewart. R. Gordon comes across as a 5'11" prick and will never make it in NASCAR, and Montoya ..... well, he's ok. It's just hard to accept the non traditional (stereotypical) type drivers, but he is good driver. I do like that he doesn't take shit off anyone.

I like Stewart too, he s my replacement for Big E. Still having a hard time getting back into NASCAR after he was killed but I ll try again this year.

pretty much the same here. I was a Big E. fan when I first got into racing as a kid. Then Big E helped this dude, who was welding seat backs at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, get a ride. So I started pulling this guy, Ernie Irvan. Well we know what happened to him, so after his accidents I went back to Big E. Then I just stayed with the RCR team and figured Harvick was kind of brash and ballsy ( No Big E by any means) and I like his aggressive style, so I have been pulling for him since. Racing just hasn't been the same though.

I went to a few races back when I lived in Florida, never watched them on TV

kind of started to get into it two years ago

last year I followed until football season started

story will probably be the same this year.
