No chance he gets fired. The team recently went on the best stretch of in USMNT history.

And while it would be disappointing to lose to Ghana, Germany and Portugal are 2 and 3 in FIFA rankings. 0-3 wouldn't shock many people. 0-2-1 or 1-2 is probably to be expected.

I don't care about what he does in the MLS. If you're so worried about what guys do on their club teams.......if that's the case why is altidore on the team? He was shitty all year for Sunderland. Donovan scored 8 goals in his last 11 games with this team.

Mistake leaving him off IMO. No he probably shouldn't be starting or playing a ton of minutes, but bring him in with 10 minutes left if tied and maybe it gives the whole team some juice or keeps them from freaking out at crunch time. I think they are a better team with him (even if mostly on the sideline) than without him.

If we beat Ghana, we still stand a chance. But honestly, we were bent over by FIFA once again, so having Donovan on this team won't make much of a difference. I like it that Klins is grooming the young talent and getting them experience for 2018. That is unless FIFA sticks us in a group with Brazil and Germany which is highly probable.

To be fair, I think the USA was ranked something like 7th going into the 2006 cup. That said, you're right. We got royally fucked. No fucking reason to have these four teams in the same group. But hey, we shocked Portugal once before and have shown we can play with the best in the world on any given day. Get 3 points against Ghana and anything can happen. 4 points may actually get us out of the group.

I think we can get points out of the Portugal game but German we are screwed unless of course Germany win their first 2 games and somehow clinched the group before we play them which of course would only be possible if we draw with Ghana, they beat Portugal, we draw with Portugal, and they beat Ghana so highly unlikely

I think getting points is very likely against Portugal. If they can somehow bottle up Ronaldo a win isn't out of the question. They beat a much more complete Portugal in 2002. Getting a draw against Germany is very doable IMO.

The group is tough but we can get out of the group. Don't forget that Germany has to play Portugal and Ghana has to play both. If we win vs Ghana, I love our chances because I think we'll come out of the Portugal match with a draw or win

Jozy, Dempsey, and Bradley will have to be creating a lot to take pressure off the back line. I love what chandler should give us at outside back and Green could provide a real spark off the bench. The center backs are still a big question mark IMO. Can they gel and work together? They'll have three matches against some pretty good teams to find out.
