If the Bears take anyone with the #1 pick, something has gone horribly wrong. Bears are shopping that pick hard.
But do you think the Bears will go with Anderson?

Depends on what the Cards do, but I would be OK with either Anderson or Carter the DT. However, if the Bears trade out of the top to say Panthers or Vegas, I'm OK with that as well. The Beats need a lot of picks.

Tyree Wilson has been slowly but surely creeping up in my own BPA to the point that I may have him as my #1, even ahead of Anderson/Carter, the consensus #s 1&2 non-QB on just about every draft board out there. I love his size, strength, and motor. His game highlights are pretty impressive from what I've seen. I'll no doubt keep a close eye on his combine results, but I'm wondering if anyone here in SportsHoopla who has followed his career more closely can give me the skinny on him to say whether or not he's not worth his rising status.

Zach Harrison can reportedly run a sub 4.6 40 and had a close to 40 in vert all at 6’6” and 270lbs.

Have a tough time believing he doesn’t go in the first if he does that at the combine.

He's always been a physical freak but his college production has never been that of a first rounder. He's never had more than 3.5 sacks in any given year. He's likely a 4-3 rotational piece, a 3rd round type of player.

Overall, this seems like a fairly deep draft for edge prospects, but a lot of them could bust IMO.

I'm a McDonald fan. He should be around for the second round. Hope he's available at #47.
That seems like its in some level of doubt. Kipers new mock has him at #8 overall.

Lots of good numbers flowing out the combine.

At the top of the boards Will Anderson proved he’s truly generational by coming in heavier than some expected at 253lbs and then lays down a 4.6.

Nolan Smith is undersized but god damn he’s an athlete.

Overall I am excited by the depth of this group as my Vikes are almost certain to make a selection or two relatively early at this position. And a lot of years, there is nothing but fool's gold in the draft. But this year's group looking like the real deal to me.

I think the weight issue has been the single most discussed negative on Anderson, that he's too light for the NFL level. It's likely he largely dispelled this concern with his new weight. And I have to say it looks like all that he gained is sheer muscle. He really helped his own cause and my guess is he cemented his status as the #1 non-QB to be taken in the draft.

Yeah, he fits perfectly in that Khalil Mack mold.

I have no idea how teams will use Nolan Smith. In college, he was a menace. Looked like a pass rusher until a play broke down and then he became an elite safety. He is probably very scheme specific.

It honestly looks like this Edge class is deep enough to where you might be able to find someone in rd3 or rd4. Isaiah McGuire is projecting to go in the 4th and Walterfootball has him dropping out of the 4th. Im biased but I think he should be seen as a 3rd rounder but the class might just be that deep in pass rushers.

Can't help but wonder how Will Anderson is suddenly a tier 3 level pick and ranked #5 in this group. It can't be the weight, Smith is smaller and lighter than him. Is Simms onto something that the rest of humanity isn't? Or is he simply on something.

I think it is due to production (numbers were down from 2021) and lacking the elite top end speed. Simms is trying to be different — can’t fault him for being a follower. I do prefer Wilson over Anderson, but I wouldn’t put him at 5.
