This letter gives me absolutely zero reason to believe the Cavs have any desire to trade Love. They signed him to an extension because they want him to be a Cav long term.

By the time they eventually do start thinking about dealing him in 3-4 years, his value will be completely eroded.

To be fair, the letter is from a reporter, not anyone in the Cavs organization.

Having said that though, Gilbert's track record in seasons where they don't have Lebron suggests that you are probably right.
