I'm also going to a Dodgers-Phillies game in July.

Hoping next year I can make it out to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati for a few games.

PNC is definitely on my list. Everyone I know who has gone has come back raving.

Can't believe people going after Nevin for sending him. Was absolutely the right call. How do I know? He scored.

No one knows more than Yankee fans what a disaster AL pitchers running the bases can be, but you'd like to think a professional athlete can run 90 feet without hurting himself.

Yeah I agree with this for sure. Running 90 feet shouldn't cause you to get hurt.

I still hate NL rules but man these pitchers should be able to run 90 feet without getting hurt

one day during spring training, the big boys had to use our facility. "ALL" coaches lined up, Up & down right field line, if we got caught lookin, depending on who it was, sent on a plane next day or fined. big boys were treated like men, unfortunately they didn't act like em! hence, leg injury after leg injury!

Masahiro Tanaka's baserunning injury has Yankees talking universal DH

How about switching his turn in the rotation so that he doesn't pitch in an NL Park?

Seriously as others stated he should be in good enough shape to run the bases.
Anyway the DH to all will come soon enough, as much as I hate it and will eventually get like it, but in reality with how poor some hitters are today with making contact/OBP there won't be much difference.

To me it is an injury issue. Make the DH rule universal or do away with it, or even better do away with Inter league play.

You are asking someone to do something once or twice a year, and injuries happen easier by perusing seldom used muscles.

Watching their game on MLB Network, and here in the bottom of the 6th, I've seen Mitch Moreland hit a ball off the top of the center field wall and only get a single out of it(which lead to a double play) and on a 3-2 count with 2 outs, the the runner on first, who I'm assuming was running with the pitch could only get to second on a hit to left center.
