I think it is a problem with the fringe baseball fan and those are the ones they are trying to keep. The rest of us aren't going anywhere anyway so they are catering to the fringe fan and trying to keep them from getting bored and changing channels or deciding a game is too long to go to.

Round 2. The instant replay review sure does not help things. Takes way too long. Meant to aid not be creature of its own. Should help audit umps but I see no system helping weed out umps who are below standard assuming there is a standard.

So here is my baseball snobbery coming out. If baseball is too slow for general public then the problem is not with the game but that some people fail to recognize the beauty of the sport.

Chicken and beer as I recall. Which frankly was a bit overblown. Who gives a fuck if the starting pitchers not playing for 3 games enjoys some beer and chicken down in the clubhouse.
