No biggie. I'm sure NASCAR will come up with some more changes and formats to lose another 15 percent of the audience next year.

From what I can recall...this season I've watched part of Daytona and a few laps here and there so far this season. I didn't even think of the race when they were at Talladega, which is a race I normally don't miss. Even though I like Jr. (part of it may be that I was a fan of his dad, though I never expected Jr. to put up anything close to his dad's stats), even the thought of his last race at Daytona isn't likely to motivate me to turn on the race tonight.

I've bet on Clint Bowyer to win in back to back weeks and in back to back weeks, he's finished second.

I figured Stenhouse was gonna be one of many who got their first and only win at Talladega. Guess he's a threat on the restrictor plate tracks.

Well I'll be damned, Danica has made it to victory lane twice this year.

To kiss her boyfriend.

What a waste of a seat that should be given to someone else who can compete without (a) blaming everyone else for everything bad that happens and (b) will NEVER win a race. She'd be more effective back in the garage making sandwiches.

I totally agree Goldbug but she brings in all those little girls who get mommy and daddy to fork over buck so that little Susie can load up on Danica products. That is ALL she does and Tony Stewart knows it.

If that's what makes Tony Stewart tick then fuck him. He could put Michelle Obama in the car and make a fortune selling shit. Sound like a good idea, Tony?

Keep in mind Gene Haas owns half of Stewart-Haas Racing, and Kurt Busch and Danica are more of Haas's drivers while Harvick and Bowyer are Stewart's. Tony didn't want Kurt Busch either.

Roush Fenway expects to remain at two teams in 2018

So if they are keeping only the #6 and #17 for next season, then they will have to sell the charter being leased to #37. I can't believe RFR would rather have Bayne than Buescher behind the wheel. Advocare must be carrying the big stick over there.

Not surprising, tbh. This is what I can see going down for silly season:
#5 Bowman
#10 Menard
#12 Blaney
#20 Jones
#21 Ryan Reed
#77 Kahne
#88 Kenseth

Edit: doing a little reading on the interwebs and ran across some interesting stuff. Apparently JGR can't find sponsorship for the #20. That leads me to believe that Jones is staying in the #77 and JGR will only be 3 teams next year. Supposedly GMS (Gallagher Motor Sports) is coming to Cup next year, and will have 2 teams. I can see Kahne taking a ride there and obviously Spencer Gallagher in the other.

#5 Bowman
#10 Menard
#12 Blaney
#20 Part time ride for JGR youngsters (Tifft, Bell, Gragson)
#21 Ryan Reed
#88 Kenseth
New team: Kahne

Are they buying charters from someone or are they just going to try and "race" their way in to each race.

I'd imagine they will probably buy 1 and try to race their way in for the 2nd one. Being as the field is hardly ever full anymore, it probably won't be a problem.

I'm guessing they'll go after the unused Roush charter, since what I'm hearing is that they're staying with 2 cars next season.

I admit it. Half of the race was good, the other half was kinda boring. But at the end, Martin Truex dominated the race and got his third win this season at Kentucky. Congrats!
