I understand the potential of Randle but comparing him to Love isnt really fair. They are two different kind of players. We saw Love put up 25 and 12 early in his career. Randle is a bruiser. Either way Love will be in Cleveland for awhile which is fine with me, he actually played much better this season.

I honestly think Randle helps you more vs. GSW (and lets face it, they are the Cavs only concern right now) than Love.

Randle is athletic enough to defend the perimeter and will get in there and bump Draymond around a good bit. Love isn't doing any of that.

I'm not saying that Randle gets you past GSW, but maybe it's a 6 game series instead of 5. lol

With no one else apparently interested...What choice do the Pacers have? Spend an entire season of PG-13 being booed at home and then watch him leave while getting nothing for him after the season?

No way can they have him on that roster after opening day....lol

Yeah they have no choice BUT they still want the best possible deal. They cant go down the Kings road. I would want Clarkson over Randle

I think Zubac and Deng come off the bench. Depending on how the season goes, might see Zubac eventually replace Lopez as the starter.

I don't know. I love Clarkson, but he's a Lou Williams type bench scoring guy. Randle is a starter quality player who projects as a more athletic Z-Bo.

As much as I like Clarkson, I hope the Pacers would rather have him.

Not a chance, he provides no spacing. Isnt a great rebounder like Love and he isnt a shot blocker either. I'm just not a huge fan of him, havent been since college. Like i said you cant compare them though.

Love isn't a shot blocker either. Randle isn't a great rebounder, but he's not bad and the Cavs have other guys to space the floor.

Also, while he isn't the floor spacer Love is and never will be, imo. He has been improving his outside shot, so teams can't ignore that.

Love gives up as much or more on defense as he gets you on offense. Randle wouldn't.

As you said though, 2 completely different players, so it really comes down to what a team feels they need.

If George is gone, his cap hit doesn't matter. You renounce his rights if you need to get rid of his cap hold.

With Love gone, all they would have would be Kryie, JR, TT - a combined $50 mil.

Then you have LeBron's cap hold of $35 mill.

That leaves at least $20 mill, plus the option of LeBron opting out and renouncing his rights to take less. Not saying he would do that - but if a big-time game changer FA is ready to come, he might be willing to do it. At least the option is on the table.

If the Cavs have Love or Butler or someone on the book still... there's no option at all. Even if LeBron wanted to take less it wouldn't matter, nothing you can do.

1) Again, if George leaves the Cavs are still above the $100 million dollar threshold (with Lebron as a tax hold).

2) Lebron's already stated he's never playing for lower than the max again.

3) In today's market, you're not going to get another all star for under $20 mil.

So how would Cleveland be able to add another all star?
