I think the offense can be pretty good when not facing the Kershaw's of the world. The rotation is horrible though and set up to lose a lot of games. If the next 2 or 3 years of being bad leads to the Padres winning a title in the early 2020's, it'll be worth it. If that doesn't happen, well then it's just typical Padres.
