Wisconsin edge rusher T.J. Watt ran a 4.69 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

At 6-foot-4, 252 pounds, Watt added a 37-inch vertical and a broad jump of 10 feet, 8 inches. "Those are all excellent results for a bigger outside linebacker," noted Scouts Inc. "Watt finished off a great day by moving well during position drills." This performance is really going to help Watt's stock. He missed the 2014 season due to a right knee injury and then was knocked out of spring ball in 2015 with a left knee injury. Wisconsin moved him from tight end to outside linebacker in the fall of 2015, and this past year was the only in which he shined. T.J. is the younger brother of Texans DE J.J. Watt.

I think I am warming up to this guy.

I think Teryl would make use of his skill set.

He is probably more of 3-4 OLB. Some team will draft him in round 1 or early round 2. We might be better off with Cunningham or Reddick.

I'm personally not so sure about Cunningham. Dude looks to wiry to me. Reddick blew the doors off the combine but is he REALLY that good?

I don't see how he can't play a Von Miller type role in our 4-3?

I wouldnt be unhappy w Watt. I'm not convinced we don't hybrid into a 4-3/3-4 sooner than later. BQ just needs the personnel.

Its doable.

We would have to resign Stefan Charles instead of Kyri Thorton. All our DEs are suitable for the 3-4 as well. Would might need more ILBs for sure. Not sure how Whitehead and Bynes would be. We could get away with Williams and Levy outside but would need to draft at least 1 more.

Thats a lot of Ifs though.

Heard we are no longer in the mix for Hightower either. So much for changing to the 3-4.

Oh shoot, missed that. I'm kind of expecting one big splash that's not Logan Ryan.

Thats just one of my sources here so its not necessarily shot, but it looks like he is probably staying in NE if they can work out the money from what he is telling me. His FA demands will be some huge amount. Basically he is fishing for stupid money and if he does not get it he will stay in NE.

Sounds like it makes sense.

No way in hell Adoree will be there in the 2nd round. Got to take him in the first.
Not sure that LB is better than Adoree anyways.

Adoree is still projected 2nd round. His combine was not overwhelming with run of 4.42. If a team wants to reach in the first then he wont be there. Pretty deep CB draft too.

Reddick is a freak. If we landed 4 of my first 5 picks I will be dancing a jig. Even 3 of the first 6 would be good.

NFL Media draft analyst Bucky Brooks noted that USC CB Adoree' Jackson "displayed extraordinary movement skills in positional drills [at the Combine]."

"He is an easy turner with exceptional agility and change-of-direction quickness. Most importantly, he displays strong hands and ball skills as a natural ballhawk," Brooks writes. His 'Move the Sticks' podcast partner-in-crime Daniel Jeremiah would agree with these assessments, as Jeremiah noted during the NFL Network telecast of the Combine on Monday that Jackson looked "fluid and smooth and easy the way [he] moved around" in drill work. The dynamic 5-foot-10, 186-pounder killed the 40-yard dash, running the event in 4.42 seconds.

Not sure how you think 4.42 is not good?

I would take JJ Watt's brother over that dude 100 out of 100 times.

Its good, but its not over the top for a smaller guy (185). There were guys 40 pounds heavier running the same time. If he ran sub 4.4 then it would have moved him up.

I like him too. Round 2 for him as well. If we went Jackson and Watt in rounds 1 and 2 I would not complain though. They are both borderline round 1 guys.
