Figured we needed a place to discuss offseason stuff. But anyways sounds like we want Yelich.

My God an OF of Yelich, Acuna, and Inciarte!!!! I can only get so erect.

I won't get my hopes up until either Kemp or Markakis(preferably both) are gone.

I can deal with Markakis for another year but Kemp is as useless as it gets.

Heard that it's likely that Alves will start Spring Training at SS, when Swanson at 2B. Noice.

McCarthy will probably be the veteran presence in our rotation. Don't know how much the others will help, but good job getting rid of Kemp.

Yeah, we don't have room for a 50 year old 1B that has been declining for years when we have Freddie Freeman.

Gonna be one of the best free agent classes of all time next season, though, with us being owned by a media conglomerate that sees us as a spread sheet, I'm not sure how confident I am that we will be players, regardless of cap space.

But despite losing Maitan and a lot of middling prospects, this offseason has already been a success. No more Jim Johnson and no more Matt Kemp.

Even if Acuna struggles a bit in the big leagues, I can live with that much more than I can some expensive bum in left field either striking out or grounding into a double play every at bat.

Not to mention we had the worst LF defense in the MLB last year.

Love the trade. Helps both teams. We get rid of Kemp (Acuna Time!) and the Dodgers stay under the luxury tax.

Anthonopolisppstzz obviously has some good relationships with the Dodger front office.

Didn't know that, but not at all surprised.

Maybe Inciarte won't have to cover both center and left field this year.

I just read that Adonis Garcia has signed with a Korean team.

No more Jim Johnson. No more Matt Kemp. No more Adonis Garcia.

Not a whole lot of actual additions, but a hell of a lot of addition by subtraction, which I'm fine with.

Yelich and Realmuto want out of Miami, and with their relationship with the team so broken, the asking price will probably go down.

If we could package a couple of our pitching prospects, even if they're highly thought of prospects, if we work out a trade for both of them, maybe even work Markakis into the mix, we could be contenders a lot sooner than expected.

    A lineup of:

    C- Realmuto
    1B- Freeman
    2B- Albies
    3B- Camargo
    SS- Swanson
    LF- Acuna
    CF- Inciarte
    RF- Yelich

Would be awesome, but it's probably just a pipe dream.

Man I hope this happens. The Marlins supposedly originally asked for Acuna to which the Braves immediately said no to. But I'm with you. Package some pitching prospects and make it happen.

Definitely. Trading Acuna would defeat the purpose IMO, but package a few highly rated pitching prospects and make it happen.
