When someone starts a new AL Central thread for 2018, I'll see about contacting whoever runs this site (if anyone does) and see if we can at least get the current doug banned from the new thread. I think a quick look at his posts over the last couple of months is pretty good evidence. Whomever THIS doug is would still be free to post on other threads.

Given HK's age and injury problems last year (91 games played), I'd rather tolerate Machado for a season or two and save the money. I don't feel he'll get us much of a haul in July.

The Nationals just resigned Kendrick. Two year deal said to be worth only $7mil TOTAL. Damn, he must have really liked DC or he wants the best shot a WS he figures he can get. I was thinking $5-6 for one year in Detroit.

I'm on a roll...I mentioned Curtis Granderson today. Blue Jays just signed him for one year and $5mil. Just what I thought the Tiger might offer him. Again...veterans are not going to be inclined to sign with a potential last place team.

Rumors that Iglesias might be headed out of town, with SD mentioned as a destination. With a $5mil+ contract and a weak bat...I'm not expecting much in return. Maybe somebody that might be major league ready in two years.
