FYI for those that care, Grantland had the best coverage of the NBA on the net but since ESPN shut it down, there was question of if those writers would be retained. Well so far, Zach Lowe is writing for ESPN and Kirk Goldsberry is over at 538 (owned by ESPN). Figured I'd pass it along for anyone that might have missed it.

I agree.

Grantland had GREAT basketball content- from Simmons and Rose- to Lowe and Goldsberry....bummed its gone. Simmons and his schtick can get old- but out of all the sports he purported to have knowledge about- I definitely think his most credibility was with the NBA. He put together a very fine contingent of writers- especially for bball- like you said- on Grantland.

Im bummed Simmons isnt writing right now. Id love to read his opinion on the Celtics. Brad Stevens looks like just a fabulous hire. Jae Crowder for 5 years 35 million was a GREAT move. I really like the Marcus Smart pick- and think he was a GREAT value at #7. I actually remember people on this site trying to tell me theyd rather have Byron Scott than Brad Stevens. YIKES.

I'm not watching the game and I was worried that he landed funny or that he cut funny, but I just saw it was from bumping kneecaps, so I'm optimistic that he'll be okay.

Saw someone on twitter say it was just a contusion and he's questionable to return, which is a good sign. Never good to see a player carried off though.

It is the hardest statistical feat I think in the NBA (11 times in history)

He has came within a steal twice now of doing it.

5x4 is still pretty good, or would it be 4x5?

I think the 5x5 is so much much harder than a triple double.
The triple double seems commonplace compared to the elusive 5x5.

Only the quadruple double truly surpasses it depending on the situation.

David Robinson and Akeem Olajuwon are the only two guys who have both a Quad-Double and a 5x5 on their resume.

Just having his full team healthy would be an upgrade for him this year, but the team has multiple injury prone players including AD so I guess it should have been expected. He does need a big time #2 player, Anderson is good off the bench and Evans is good when healthy but neither is that guy.
