I agree.

But like I said before the series started, the Sixers just can’t match up with the Celtics. They are just too slow to effectively guard the perimeter.

So while gimmicky and unlikely to work as more than a change of pace, it is still probably the 6ers best chance.

Because playing straight man they gonna get swept.

If I'm the Sixers, I'd rather die going old school... ramping up the physicality.

(I know it's a new day in the league, and physicality is out... but I'd rather die that way)

Horford was an atrocious signing.

The Sixers thought that they were stealing a critical piece of the C's and found out what Boston already knew. Horford was not worth a max contract. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk.

The Celtics are just too good at spreading teams out.

That is what the old school (really 90s) apologists don’t get. You can’t give the hard foul at the rim when you are guarding a highly efficient shooter in the corner.

Butler knew that as well and called them out on it

Embiid has the potential to be the best big man in the game for years but he plays soft many games
Sure he will give you the occasional "hard" game here and there and he will put up points but when he faces some true physical play by the opposition not just against himself but against the Sixers team as a whole he wilts a lot of times

Simmons - yes he needs a consistent outside shot yada yada yada but he seems like the only one who has any kind of heart and fight in him

It appears this team needs to be blown up starting with Brett Brown

They are a mess. They need leadership in the worst way and they don’t have it.

And I don’t just mean from their head coach. The locker room too.

Not a fan of Simmons. Way overhyped but he would have had the speed and length to make this a great series.

to me embiid is still the center piece. And he is playing crazy minutes on that frame. Something has to give soon.

this is a year for sixers to pivot. But they have to design it for Big Al and Tobias to be effective. They are signed long term and don’t play enough minutes

Sixers are like that big kid in high school who talks tough until someone looks him in the eye and punches him in the mouth. They are a bunch of front runners who beat up on smaller, weaker teams but fold every time they face a real challenge.

I am totally disgusted with this whole organization right now. The process failed and they need to clean house. Unfortunately it is going to be hard to do because they have Horford and Harris signed to enormous contracts. Those guys combined did absolutely nothing last night in a must-win game.

Embid is the only good player on the team, and he is soft and injury prone. It's tragic.

Simmons is never going to realize his potential because he simply doesn't care enough. I am tired of hearing about his developing jump shot every fucking offseason only to see him refuse to shoot in real games.

Though I would like to see a complete house cleaning, what I expect is that they will fire Brown and see if another coach can get more out of this same nucleus of players. Maybe the right coach can. But I think it is a deeply flawed group.
