“We call that the 24-hour rule,” quarterback Michael Brewer said. “You’ve got 24 hours to think about the game, talk about the game, celebrate the game, and then it’s on to the next week."

Good. Now get back to work, and don't let those Evel Knievel helmets distract you.

I knew we had played them better lately, but didn't realize this. Hopefully it quells a bit of the concern

Oh make no mistake. If VT shows up with their A game, they win.

History has shown, however, that sometimes after a big game teams let their guard down and get surprised. That's all I'm saying. ECU is one of those teams that wins because other teams underestimate them. All of a sudden it's the 4th quarter and the game is within one score and circumstances just don't work in your favor.

The coaches know this, and I don't think that's going to happen.

ECU played VT very tough last year, and gave South Carolina a tough game last week. They are quite capable.

I do think VT's offense is significantly improved from last year, though.

My god... this is like a trap SportsHoopla game. I'll admit that I'm not a founding member of this board or anything, but I can't remember the last time we went a full day without a post to the game thread during the season.

I have no information on team developments or ECU, etc. Fill me in people. I don't have time for twitter, I got a full-time job and I think I'm half crazy from sleep deprivation... GD kid was up all night last night and topped it all off by sharting on my shirt (which I had hoped to wear to work today) when I was changing him this morning.

Hokie200 -- TMI, really, but you make a compelling case. I wouldn't expect much useful to come from Twitter.

I'd expect the VT offense to be less conservative. It will be interesting to see what Foster does on the defense.

I certainly don't expect anybody to fail to see the threat ECU poses after last year's performance. ECU will want to bring a lot, since they threatened last year, had South Carolina on the ropes last week, and because of the Ohio State/VT getting a ranking thing.

Read that the other day... Well it seems like we have the attention of people again which at least mean we have a relevant team for now. Just saw Mark May put us on upset alert during the halftime of the Houston vs BYU game. I liked him because he was a part of the Skins Hogs O-line, but for now I wish he'd be quiet haha.

Marshall is out for this game per TKP posters who apparently spoke with his mom.

Weather looking pretty crappy today. Should be an advantage for the defenses...

Then again, Marshall (Cato) played pretty well in the rain last year.

I imagine Bud will play more zone today and not be bringing the house on every play. Hopefully we can get a good rush with 4 or 5 guys, even with Marshall out. Who will be going in his place?? Williams? Baron? Double moves on a slippery field can turn into big plays.

But once again, in Bud I trust.
