Why would the 1 seed play the 3 seed and the 2 seed play the 4 seed in the semi's? That doesn't make sense at all.

Was just thinking the same thing.

Makes about as much sense assuming they won't have an upset along the way, that's what makes this playoff theory exciting.

He does have the two upsets of Texas AM over Oregon and Missouri over Clemson. Wow an SEC fan picking an SEC team to win every single first round game they are in. Texas AM can't stop anyone on defense and Oregon can score on nearly every play. I think the Aggies would be told to bite the curb by the Ducks and I dislike Oregon.

this would be amazing. Imagine watching MSU vs Bama. 2 of the better defensive minds matching up. Huge disparity in the offenses, but would be great just to see the defenses compete.

Oregon v A&M.. Bring extra lights for scoreboard. I love the idea of a bigger playoff. I would give BYE weeks for #1 and #2 though.

In current playoff systems (FCS, D2, etc.), the top-seeded teams get a bye, not playing until the second round.

How do you figure A&M beating Oregon? they have no where near the defense Stanford does.

Only way I could see TAMU beating Oregon was in a giant score-fest wherein neither defense could stop the other offense, and TAMU scored last.

Hate the idea, worried it would move the regular season of Football down to the worthless regular season that is college basketball. I can see going to 8 but 16 is too many.

You have your bracket set up wrong.

1 is in same as 4. 2 same as 3

Yeah lets keep the regular season of college football where you almost never see big OOC games anymore. You never get OOC games in college basketball like the #1 vs #2 and #4 vs #5 going on, let alone on the same night. Who wants to see that? I would much rather watch Alabama vs Chatanooga Pre-School for the Still Born Children we get to see nearly every single week (meaning a top program against FCS schools).

This is what college football SHOULD go with. Division 1 (other than FCS) is the only level of college football where they DON'T play a tournament. I'm pretty sure Division II plays a 24 team playoff, Division III plays a 32 team playoff, and FCS plays a 20 team playoff.

I'd be fine with a 16 team playoff. Although the OP (as already noted) setup his bracket completely wrong.

Yeah because everyone is really into that December 1 vs 2 match up.
