Interesting. So from a completely dispassionate, empirical, love-what-the-guy-did-for-us-in-the-past-but-this-is-today perspective, you'd have to pick Smith and Okert if the Giants went only with 2 lefties. Wouldn't you? Of course, I guess Bochy could say, well, that's all well and good but Lopez has experience that Okert just doesn't have.

I'm glad I'm not Bochy because picking lefties for the postseason is not easy with this team this year. Does Ty Blach get even thrown into the mix here?

I have seen (heard, read) the tidbit about not taking the lead IN THE NINTH) multiple times. I have not looked at all game logs myself to confirm, though.

I was wondering why a new thread hadn't started. Maybe because the geniuses at FS1 scheduled the games too close together so we can't even see the Giants right now.
