I wouldn't use him in game 1. The bullpen pitched a lot last night. We can't throw him out there with the risk of him having another stinker when several guys from our pen won't be available. As I said last night, my guess is they use him in game 2. No way in hell should Tanaka start in Cleveland. His road splits are atrocious. Start him game 3 in the bronx.

Agree

No chance he goes in Game one

i turned it on and it was 3-0 like i said last night. only 1 out?

jesus

Stans was a funeral parlor in the first

The unsung hero last night was Chad Green

2nd and 3rd 1 out in the first down 3-0

Struck out the next 2

That game coulda been 5-0, a lot different than 3-0

The Stadium was loud. Just as it was in 2015. The last 2 WC games is probably the loudest I heard this stadium.

Should have been 5-0. But once it was stopped at 3-0 you just knew the Yankees would come back

Last night convinced me. MLB should go back to just one wild card. Have number one seed play the division winner OR wild card with the worst record. Twins didn't belong there.

Nope and would have been a tragedy if they won. A 85 win team doesn't belong in the playoffs unless they're lucky enough to win the division

And LOL @ Buxton. He didn't need to jump and with his speed he didn't need to crash into the wall. Dumbass pays the price for trying to make a moderately difficult catch look like the play of the year.

Great game

Ill go Grienke over Gray, but be surprised by nothing

This has to be the best slate of playoff teams in a long long time

Wouldnt be utterly shocked by any team left winning it all

indians starting bauer in game 1?

mistake?

I'd be lying if I said it doesn't make me nervous.

Then again, since July 22nd he's 9-1 in 12 starts with a 2.46 ERA, 9.8 K/9 and 4.47 K/BB.

Given that, I suppose I should be less nervous about him starting Game 1 than you should be about Sale doing the same.

He's also faced the Yankees twice this year - 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA.

I think its brilliant.......Terry knows he has a very good chance of winning that game with Bauer, and than the Yankees are staring right at 0-2 with Kluber

I just looked at the Indians' ALDS starters' numbers in Sept/Oct. Fucking crazy:

Kluber ~ 6 GS ~ 5-0 ~ 10.47 K/9 ~ 0.84 ERA
Carrasco ~ 6 GS ~ 5-0 ~ 10.76 K/9 ~ 1.48 ERA
Bauer ~ 5 GS ~ 3-1 ~ 10.16 K/9 ~ 2.90 ERA
Tomlin ~ 6 GS ~ 3-0 ~ 6.75 K/9 ~ 3.52 ERA

Then they have Clevinger out of the bullpen, who was 5-1, 9.55 K/9 with a 0.99 ERA.

I've been told they have a pretty good bullpen, too.
