Last night I think when Robertson was pitching, Sanchez came out for a mound visit. Now Robertson had no men on I believe and yet this "meeting" was ridiculously long for just a chit chat. I hope the Indians don't put up with that shit.

No fucking way. Bauer would fire a pea right into Judge's ear.

Nah. Have one of your scrub relievers do it. Because that guy will definitely get ejected while the Yankees will just be given a warning.

Do the Indians have any scrub relievers?

indians starting bauer in game 1?

mistake?

I think the reasoning behind it is that if Kluber goes game 2 he'll be on regular rest for a possible game 5 where if he pitches game one he'll be on an extra days rest. From what I heard he doesn't do well with extra rest.

But, there's a good chance of rain Friday night so this could blow up in his face if that game gets rained out and they need him game 5

I wouldn't say he doesn't do well with extra rest. 3.16 ERA this year in 80 IP with five or more days of rest. More accurate might be he's not fucking amazing.

Probably should have said "as well".

Yeah.

I'm sure there are multiple factors the Indians considered as to why go with Bauer and I'm not going to pretend to know or understand them all. What I will say is that I think they've got a smart front office and coaching staff, and I'm glad that they're confident enough to go against convention if they think it's the right play.

Too many managers do stupid shit because "that's how it's done."

Of course, if this backfires, Francona is going to take a lot of heat. If they're down 1-2, Kluber would not be available for Game 4 (that'd only be two days of rest), that's worst case I think.

Tito's the best in the game IMO so I'm sure his reasoning is sound.

I kind of expect Greinke and the D'Backs to roll by a similar score tonight. I think Colorado posts a few runs, but Gray has been a poor pitcher on the road and I don't think he's ready for this kind of a game.

That road ERA is bloated by two bad starts. Since July 25th, he's made 8 starts on the road and posted a 2.55 ERA with a 9.5 K/9 and 5.8 K/BB.

2nd best road ERA in the NL since then.

Yeah, but since he started cycling PEDs in late July, he's jacked up and ready to go at home or the road.

I agree. He was nervous tonight, forgot he was mid-cycle and didn't shoot up

Well, Ray is in. I'm assuming he goes a few innings here. Which means I guess Corbin would start Game 1 in LA?
