So the players voted Tom Brady the best player in the league last season. For those of us NE fans it's ho hum another day at the office. So what do the haters have to say? Is this enough to have @DirtDirtDirt disappear again?

Personally I thought the players would vote A Rog. Glad to be wrong for once.

Wow or dumb ass posters, linemen are traditionally the smartest players in the league.

The list is complete shit. A total joke. But at least they got the top spot right.

A good question is how to correctly weigh the quarterbacks. For instance, Ben is in the 20s. Bell and Brown are top ten. Ben is far more important to the Steelers than either Brown or Bell. Should that factor in? I don't really know. It's one of the things that gives me pause.

so who is your top 10??

I hate lists like this. It is too hard if not impossible to compare dominating players at different positions. Apples to oranges. I just looked at the top 20 and it is top heavy on O "skill positions" with only one lineman at 18. I know that it is easier to compare stats for QB/RB/WR but no lineman is better than the sixth best QB, give me a break.

It's the Heisman theory which gets it wrong almost every year. The best player in college football must be a QB, WR or RB almost never a defensive player and to my recollection never an O-Linemen, even though they are the primary reason the other three have flashy numbers. Heisman is a flipping embarrassment.

roger that - was surprised by that myself

on a related note - I was surfing and saw the tail end of the show where the 1-5 players were announced so decided to watch a bit of it. Who in the hell thought it would be a good idea to have Ike Taylor on this show? Christ Sake, Snoop Dog offered better commentary and insight than this illiterate fool

Vote was actually for best players heading into 2017 and not based solely on last year . Not sure how anyone other than Brady would've been number 1. 5 rings will do that lol

Seeing both Derek Carr & Dak Prescott ahead of Ben & Brees made me laugh the most.
