If MM wants the defense to be better then the offense, here's your 1st tip:
You don't hire any in-house candidate. You need an outside DC who's going to hold players like HHCD, Matthews, Perry, Fackrell, etc to a higher standard. None of MM's inside guys appear capable of that. The last thing MM...
Interesting moves but by promoting them you make it uber difficult for other teams to poach them without it being a full GM role. It also allows them to learn more of the business without having the GM "title" in GB.
I still think TT waits it out until 65 retires and than takes a...
TT's hit % in the 4th round has been solid since 2008:
4 129 Jake Ryan
4 121 Carl Bradford
4 109 David Bakhtiari
4 122 J.C. Tretter
4 125 Johnathan Franklin
4 132 Mike Daniels
4 133 Jerron McMillian
4 131 Davon House
4 109 T.J. Lang
4 102 Jeremy Thompson
4 135 Josh Sitton
Good get for GB.
Mike Neal has probably hit his peak. Has Perry? Probably not. He still seems to be improving although slowly, partly as a result of injuries. I like Perry over Neal - more upside. I like the deal although $5M sure seems high. But it's one year. Let's hope he finally plays to his potential and...
Interesting mock... here is one of mine:
Round 1
Jack Conklin, OT Michigan State
6'6" - 318 - rJr Can't keep going with the 2 OT we have. Conklin is well-built with excellent core strength, using his powerful upper body and center of gravity to be a mauler in the run game. He lines up with a...
With what we know right now, this next season, 2016, is probably the last year the window to get to a championship will be wide open. After that, I can easily see it narrowing. If Rodgers has more seasons like this one, I could even see it closing before he's done playing here.
Offense
QBs...
Impressed with Carolina's first half offensive game plan. Pound the rock and play action. Wilson and Rodgers have similar issues teams that don't wake up until the 3rd qtr. Hell of a win by Carolina
He has a point ...My theory below
Some validity in what he says. But hang with me because I believe it's deeper than fear etc. This all started back after the NFC title loss..it crushed this team spiritually.Right after that MM brother dies a tragic early death.
The man hasn't been...
Rodgers is said to really like Abby and he has had 2 weeks of outstanding practice. I look for them to add in some deep stuff for him to further open up the run game soon. Adds a deep element to the pass game.
Barclay against Houston is a bad proposition for us. The match up on the other side isn't much better. You'll be seeing Rodgers running for his life on Monday but the bonus is even with that Rodgers is just so damn good he'll make it work.
Defensive game plan will be much the same this week...
PC offense makes all the difference in the world. Your going to see our QB and WR thrive in this system.Once they work the kinks out of the OL watch out !
Studs
Aaron Rodgers - 18-23, 189, 3 TD 0 INT
James Jones - 4-51, 2 TD's (Shoulda been 3)
Lacy - 19-85, 1 TD Bounced it outside a bit too much, but ran hard inside.
Clay Matthews - Key INT and great play to run down Forte
Special Teams - Other than penalty on Shields, who had a bad day...
Call me the exception to the rule but John Fox scares the hell out of me. His staff isn't near as inept as the last two bozos the Bears had. I think it may take a year or two but they will be a pain in our hinder again soon.
I think camp will be a good way to get his mind off the other stuff and just play ball. It's a cliche but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... could be Q puts together a heck of a season. :2cents:
Wisconsin Lands 2 - 4 star recruits > Wisconsin football recruiting: Badgers land four-star commits Cole Van Lanen, Craig Watts on big Saturday - Bucky's 5th Quarter
Agree ! It's not like the Seahawks had elite weapons around him last year and still he takes them to a SB. Go ahead and let him walk.. who are they going to draft that understands a pro offense out the gate ? What FA QB will grab that will be as good ? :noidea:
In this era of spread QB with...
Moffitt can land a job quickly if he pass's a physical. Decent OL are getting harder to find. Wish him all the luck in the world as he tries to restart his career.
