Frikin' Honda. In the past when they got owned by an "American" brand, they'd buckle down and come back stronger. Clearly they have been owned by Chevy in the HP department. Their whining already got the governing body for IndyCar to reduce the aero package of Chevy. I say, if you're going whine like a little girl, go then. Bring in say Toyota or maybe SRT of Dodge to supply the engines for cryin' out loud! Geez!!

That's not a good sign when the CEO can't stomach opinions and potential criticism. Getting more and more like Bernie Ecclestone everyday.

I can see IndyCar's point though. That was generally regarded by fans of pretty much every other series (I even heard British Touring Car drivers were raving about it) as one of the best races ever. The leadership should be able to push that and market the sport a lot.

But immediately after it ended, all the top names, drivers and owners alike, were all screaming about how terrible it was, and how much they hated it. I wonder how many potential future fans watched the end and thought "Oh, I guess it's not always that good."? And they might not tune in again.

Fontana has usually had great racing, and look at the old CART broadcasts. The stands were full. Were there even enough people at the Indy race to fill a hockey arena? Big problem for IndyCar.

Two that did not state any disparaging comments were Marco Andretti and A.J. Foyt.

Yep, especially A.J. Foyt but Marco ought to be well-known enough with that last name otherwise because he has not won much, he'd be not as recognizable as say the Penske boys.

I suspect that we've seen all that we're going to see of her for this year in IndyCar: She has done one race in Formula E, but I don't know if she's slated to do more.

Was not one of the requirements for Simona returning contingent on obtaining sponsorship? I presume sponsorship has been located for Wilson but not de Silvestre. Looks as though sponsors are still not keen on putting money up for lady racers.

I am not sure that Walker is steeping down because of the consistent tension he has reportedly experienced in differences he has had with team owners concerned with the direction IndyCar is perceived to be headed or not. Either way, he has helped to progress IndyCar forward a bit and continue its stabilization and development.
