Cowherd: just admit you're critical of Lebron because you're worried he's better than Jordan

It's not flawed. It's the tiebreaker. Lebron doesn't have enough. End of story.

Probably because they were facing better competition than Lebron has. And again, no one is saying it's just the rings (you're starting to sound like Wiggy). Also, the reason Magic and Kareem are ranked lower than MJ is their finals losses. Lebron has a losing fucking record in the finals.

No he doesn't. Magic and Kareem faced teams with future Hall of Famers and all stars on them.

Now that you've stooped to Wiggy level bullshit by making up shit that hasn't been said, I'm done discussing this topic with you. But feel free to carry on embarrassing yourself.

What are talking about?

I said it. Not making anything up. The Warriors have multiple future HOF players too. What is your point?

I know the Lakers faced elite competition. Never did they face a team with two of the top 4 players in the league because guess what? They had arguably the two best along with worthy and other good players. The Lakers were the Warriors before the Warriors. You even alluded to that yourself.

And don't ever compare me to Wiggy. Everything in my post is rational and unbiased. You don't agree, that is fine. But don't do that.

Lastly, if you use rings as a tie breaker, that is all good. What I am saying is that it won't be a tie if LeBron wins this year. I understand no Laker fan will agree, and that is all good. But I bet a large percentage of basketball people will lock LeBron into number 2 if he wins this year. Some (not me, but not just Cav fans) will even call him GOAT.

In the last 40 years, there have been 2 players who have been the undisputed best player in the league for a span of 5+ years. MJ and LeBron. That is the entire list.

This is how I know you're a millenial snowflake, just like Lebron. Rings have been what matters for decades. Now, because Lebron can't measure up in the one thing that every fucking player in the history of the game wants to win...rings shouldn't matter.

Take that stupid shit someplace else and try again after your balls drop.

LOL@you getting all buthurt because your ring argument is so retarded

So if lebron added Anthony Davis and rattled off 5-6 more rings in a row he would suddenly be a better player?

If rings were all that mattered Russell would be goat and was nearly twice as good 11 vs 6

The only reason you clutch to a team accomplishment so much is because that is all you got..you are like the guy Cowherd was talking about, the 50 year old still wearing his letterman jacket at the high school football game talking about the good old days lmao

If I did I would say that Russell was nearly twice as good (11/6) as Jordan instead of saying they are approximately equal and either one is a perfectly fine choice (though yes, I will usually bat for Russell if only to balance out Jordan Jockers). Jordan's other advantages help close the monstrous ring gap sufficient to make them approximately equal overall. Same goes with lebron

Does that make sense? If not, let it rest and come back to it when sober.

No. Not butthurt at all. Crybaby millenial snowflakes like you are butthurt because Lebron doesn't measure up in the one thing that every player in the history of the league wants to win.

Lebron has a losing records in the finals. End of story.

That argument has been blown out of the water 100 times. I can't even say nice try because it wasn't. It's just trying to rehash an argument that has been destroyed already because Lebron has a losing record in the finals.

What's next? The Robert Horry argument?

What part of "not having this discussion with you anymore" was unclear?

Now go ahead and post that it's because of "not being able to counter your argument" instead of exactly what I said so you can feel like you won the internet and move on.

Lebron easily stacks up in his finals performances. Nobody stacks up to him leading 2 teams in both points rebounds, assists and steals...

LOL.

Is this a troll attempt? Cmon man.

The Warriors from last year are the greatest team to ever fail to win a title and it isn't particularly close. Had Draymond not been suspended and they had sealed the deal in game 5, they would have gone down in history as one of the top 5 teams of all time.

Now they they lose and you want to say they aren't as good as the Sonics or Jazz? Before that series the debate was between them, the '96 Bulls and the Showtime Lakers. It took suspension, injury and a truly epic performance from both LeBron and Irving to beat them. Now they are just another Finals loser?

Let's not forget that the Warriors own the regular season wins record and a championship. How many rings did Stockton and Malone get? How many Finals appearances? After this year, GS will have passed them in every category possible, and this is only the beginning.

The Jazz and Sonics were both 64-18. Payton was DPOY and Malone was the MVP when Jordan faced them.

You think Curry would light up the Glove? You think Dray would stop the mailman?

He has fewer rings and a losing record in the finals. No one has said he didn't play great in his finals appearances (except Dallas). But it doesn't change the fact that he's 3-4 in the finals.

Guess what? MJ, Magic and Kareem all played great in their finals appearances too.

The difference? They don't have losing records in the finals.

Jerry West played great in all 10 of his finals appearances. There is no way that he can be blamed for any of his finals losses (unlike Lebron vs. Dallas).

You know why he's not even in the GOAT discussion despite being the freakin' logo? Because he's 1-9 in the finals.

Lol @comparing Thompson, Green and Iggy to The Glove and The Mailman.

I mean, those are nice players and all. But The Glove and The Mailman are Hall of Famers.

And Durant hasn't won shit yet.

So you don't take into account that 2 of his 4 losses, one was with a d-league team(07) and 2015 Irivng and Love were hurt for the finals?

Im talking about last year. So no Durant.

McMillan was no slouch at D, and Kemp was an athletic freak.

Jeff Hornacek was an excellent 3 pt shooter and prob could match Klay on offense.

The Warriors would not have made it to the finals if not for Durant's choke job...

No. Not anymore than I take into account that in 1 of Magics losses, the Lakers lost Byron Scott before the series started and Magic after game 1.

Or anymore than I take into account that in Magic's last finals loss (ironically vs. MJ's Bulls) he also had a team that had no business being there. I still haven't figured out how he got that team to the finals.

Not anymore than I take into account that 1 of Kareems losses was in a series without Magic or Byron Scott.

It's professional sports ffs. Not some kids rec league. There are no participation trophies and no excuses. You get their with what you have and you win or lose...period.

That may be true, but it still doesn't say who is the better overall player imo. There is too much luck involved..If pippen had got injured a few times, is jordan no longer goat?

That's because, statistically speaking, the difference between all time greats is too close to call. That's why rings are the tiebreaker and why MJ is GOAT.

It's also why Lebron can't be GOAT or even ranked higher than Magic or Kareem (yet) when he has a losing record in the finals. He loses the tiebreaker.

Believe me. I tried for years arguing first Magic over MJ and then Kareem over MJ (and Kareem even has the same number of rings). It always comes down to MJ has more rings and/or never lost in the finals.
