We really don't have a reliable run game. That what makes KC so valuable to us b/c he is basically doing it by himself. I hope we turn it on.

We have a good run game ONLY when we don't come out flat (either side of ball) and get down early on the score board. Balance (run/pass) is essential for our team to be successful. So in order to use it, we must come out with energy, passion, a sense of urgency and a purpose to avoid falling behind 14-0 and abandoning the run game.

I think he just doesn't fit a power scheme. Also, I'm not sure what the heck happened to us in the red zone this year.

And a very middling 14th in rushing yards per game as well as being ineffective too many times at key moments in games and in SOP running situations like goal to go and short yardage situations. Who's once primary RB led the league in fumbles excluding QBs and was fumbling approx 1 time every 33 carries. Including losing one fumble at an opponents 2 yard line. When he simply extended the hand/arm he was carrying the ball with forward.

If peeps are happy with the stats G posted above and think our running game is just dandy, word. I'd like to see more success in certain situations and would gladly take a downward dip in yards per carry to do so. Maybe that's just me.

I especially get all giddy inside when KC throws a hellified block for himself on a blitzing LB. Then unleashes a laser with perfect form mind you. Some 40 yards down the right sideline. Sprints those 40 yards downfield in such a way it makes Usain Bolt butthurt. Just before he makes an amazing one handed snag barely pitty patting both his feet in-bounds. Gets up and glares at the oppositionds sidelines and hollers, "You like that........bitches! Cuz I do.....ohhhweee!"

So what's your fave Cuz doin everythang for his mothfuckin self play, dean?

My point about our running game is simple...it is not as bad as people think.

We have no commitment to the running game but we are 5th in YPC and 6th in TDS. We are doing great this with late round picks, including RB nicknamed FAT.

The fact that our pocket passer scored roughly 1/3 of our rushing TDs should tell you all you really need to know about our ground game.

Or to put that another way, the 4 QBs with more rushing TDs than Kirk were Prescott, Taylor, Newton and Alex Smith.


So maybe stats say over all our ground game is not as bad as we think.... but it is no where near as good as you are trying to paint it to be.

Brady had 13 yards rushing and a solid 0 rushing TDs.

Cam is a dual threat QB, it would astonishing if he DIDNT have at minimum 5 TDs on the season.

For good measure, Eli had a whooping 11 yards rushing for zero TDs as well.

i would think of these different blocking schemes similar to how we run a 34 defense.

just because we run 34 as our primary defense doesn't mean we dont have the flexibility to change it up.

Nice pull Krush. Often people think we run one style or another. All teams run types of run plays. Clearly some teams run a higher percentage than others based on their philosophy and personnel.
