And my thinking is, we need better talent at all three positions. If we get to 17, and the RB on the board is a better over all prospect than the DL or LB, I would not be upset with the RB pick. As for ILB,

1. We traditionally dont value the position that much.
2. I dont care if we get the best ILB in the draft, if we dont have a GOOD D-line its possibly just a waste of a pick aside from having another Lavar Arrington type who will make multiple pro bowls while the defense continues to struggle.

I understand what you are saying. I disagree about the LB part though. Our LBs are slow, can't tackle, and can't find the right hole (on the football field).

As for the draft, RBs are found all over the draft. Athletic linemen and LBs are usually found early. We need defense and there is no value for RBs in round 1.

I will and do agree with everything you said however, there are game-changing RB's found in round 1.

In this scenario I would have taken Barnett or Lamp. There several other RB we can get later in the draft. Really like the kid Connor and Hill.

I hope Tampa gets Cook trust me, but I don't see him going after pick #10. I find it funny they are comparing Mixon and Cook's off the field issues. Both were over 1-2 years ago.
