He gives us McCaffery at 17. He also says that Cook goes down to 29 to the Packers. I don't have the full mock so if someone has it please post it.

I know some of you will be out raged by this pick but if the two ILb's are off the board I would like this pick. This guy is a matchup nightmare for defenses. Yes he cant take a full load of carries but he doesn't have to. Some might say CT is the same type of player. Yes but CT is very injury prone and does not have the skill set of Mccaffery. So we can go into the season with a true RBBC.

Its not a need pick but I think he would elevate the offense. Plus I believe Gruden likes RB's like him from his cincy days. The power back does not fit the Jay Gruden offense. Another reason why the Matt JOnes pick was a very bad one in the 3rd round.

Im curious to see Kipers whole mock. Someone please post.

I think if someone takes McCaffery over Cook, it'd be one of the biggest mistake of their career.

It depends what that team is looking for. I know you are a FSU fan, but why is Cook falling to the late first round???

If Madden were still doing NFL stuff, he would be painting this kid as the next greatest RB to ever play the game.

John Madden made Mike Alstot a house hold name.

I heard a report today that Davis might slip to the 2nd round b/c he cant workout for NFL teams. We might have our choice of Wr at 17.

I really don't see McCaffery going in the 1st, I believe he was getting over an injury this year.
He has to be used the right way to be effective. Teams like ATL, NE, KC make sense. He would do well in this offense too, but we have CT and so many other issues to address@17. Plus he is a high touch guy but not a high amount of carries guy. looking at the rest of that mock,( with the exception of the WRs) I'd take just about ANYBODY else

I think if someone takes a RB in the first round, it'll be one of the biggest mistakes of their career. Maybe Fournette but RB is so deep that I dont really see what Cook brings to the table that you can't get a couple of rounds later. Cook isn't really all that quick or explosive. He does have some moves, great hands and some strength but he also apparently has character red flags to go along with his bad combine.

McCaffrey seems really good but not durable enough for the NFL. Hard to justify either one imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone attempts to get our 17th pick. Broncos, Texans, Vikings, and Cardinals are also a little shaky at QB this year. Cutler may end up in NY, and Romo may retire. 2nd round is loaded at TE, DB & DL
