Former four-star receiver tweets he’s transferring from Ohio State to Vanderbilt

Urban Meyer confirmed Tuesday that Alex Stump is no longer part of his Buckeyes football team. On his personal Twitter account a short time later, Stump not only indicated that he will indeed be moving on, but to where he would be moving — Vanderbilt.

Mizzou indefinitely suspends RB Nate Strong

Barry Odom confirmed earlier Tuesday that Nate Strong has been indefinitely suspended from his football team. Other than unspecified violations of team rules, no specific reason for the punitive measure was given by the head coach.

Arizona the new home for ex-USC DT Noah Jefferson

On his Twitter account, Noah Jefferson confirmed that he will be continuing his collegiate playing career at Arizona. At the moment, Jefferson will be forced to sit out the 2017 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, although his new school is expected to at least look into applying for a waiver that would give the defensive tackle immediate eligibility.

Former Clemson OL Jake Fruhmorgen transfers to Florida

Former Clemson offensive lineman Jake Fruhmorgen has elected to transfer to Florida, it was revealed Thursday.

Fruhmorgen chose the Gators over LSU, the lone remaining finalist for his services. He is a native of Tampa, where he played for the powerhouse Plant High School program.

Ex-Michigan TE Devin Asiasi transfers to UCLA

In early February, it was reported that Devin Asiasi was considering a transfer from Michigan with an eye on moving closer to home. A couple of weeks later, Jim Harbaugh confirmed that the California native would be transferring.

Thursday, Asiasi’s move back to the Left Coast was confirmed by his new college football home.

Second starting lineman in two months leaves Minnesota

On his personal Twitter account Friday, Connor Mayes announced that he has decided to leave Minnesota and continue his collegiate playing career at an undetermined elsewhere. The offensive lineman wrote that “[a]fter long reflection and many discussions with my family, I have decided it is in my best interest to leave” the Gophers.

Ex-LSU QB Brandon Harris set to visit North Carolina

On his Twitter account Saturday night, Harris stated that he has his first official visit scheduled for March 24. While he didn’t state a specific school on the social media site, he subsequently confirmed to the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he will be visiting North Carolina that weekend.

Brice Ramsey, Reggie Wilkerson will transfer, Georgia confirms

Georgia confirmed Tuesday morning that quarterback/punter Brice Ramsey and defensive back Reggie Wilkerson have decided to transfer out of Kirby Smart‘s football program. Both players will be leaving the university as graduate transfers as they are on schedule to get their degrees in May.

North Carolina leads Texas, Arizona in derby for ex-LSU QB Brandon Harris

Harris has announced plans to visit North Carolina, Texas and Arizona but tacitly admitted the Heels as his leader in an interview with Fox Sports’s Bruce Feldman. While visits to Austin and Tucson are lined up, Harris said of his March 23 trip to Chapel Hill, “f North Carolina blows me away I’ll go to North Carolina.”

Report: OT Noah Beh to transfer from Penn State to Delaware

Citing program sources, 247Sports.com is reporting that Beh will transfer to Delaware to finish out his collegiate playing career. The Nittany Lions released their spring roster Tuesday morning, and Beh wasn’t listed on it.

Auburn QB Tyler Queen tweets decision to transfer from Tigers

Tyler Queen took to his personal Twitter account this afternoon to announce that, “after a lot of prayer and discussion with my family,” he feels “it is time to transfer and explore other opportunities.” In his Twitter missive, the rising redshirt sophomore wrote that “I feel like I haven’t had a chance to show the player I’m capable of being.”

Syracuse lands Toledo corner as graduate transfer

Jordan Martin (pictured, middle) confirmed to the Syracuse Post-Standard Sunday night that he has decided to transfer from Toledo to Syracuse. As the cornerback is expected to be coming to the Orange as a graduate transfer, he’ll be eligible to suit up for Dino Babers‘ squad for the 2017 season, his final year of eligibility.

QB Matthew Merrick leaving Longhorns to focus on academics

Texas announced via a press release that Merrick has decided to leave the Longhorns football program and focus on his academics at the university. At some point in the future, particularly if an opportunity presents itself, either at UT or elsewhere, Merrick will reevaluate his prospects in the sport.

Dad of RB Kingston Davis says son will transfer from Michigan

The father of Kingston Davis confirmed to Sam Webb of Scout.com that his son informed UM officials earlier Friday of his intention to transfer from the Wolverines. Apparently there were two reasons that triggered the running back’s decision: a crowded backfield and chatter that he would be changing positions.
