USC has never played an FCS school in its entire history not to mention not only does USC play a 9 game conference schedule, it plays ND home & away year in and year out. That's automatically 10 P5 games right there......Blah...Blah...Blah
Same old broken record by PAC/USC tools. I love how you guys flip-flop on OOC games. When Boise State was decent, you guys screamed that it was unfair that BSU had to play at most ONE good team per year in OOC games and NO-ONE in-conference and PAC teams had to play "the PAC in-conference schedule". When the shoe is on the other foot, NOW, only OOC games count. What BS! Look at all 12 games!
Teams play more games IN-conference than OOC games (when bowls are included it is roughly a 60:40 split).
When USC plays in a pussy conference then they must go OOC to get decent opponents.
Since 1946 (your time frame)...
USC has played 509 games (61.8%) IN conf and 314 OOC (38.2%) (including bowl games).
In the 509 IN conf games, 55 (10.8%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 122 (24.0%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
In the 314 OOC games, 80 (25.6%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 123 (39.2%) were vs T25 teams (yr end). See more T10 and T25 teams OOC in 314 games than IN-conf T10 and T25 in 509 games.
When UF plays in a superior conference then they DON'T need to go OOC to get decent opponents.
Since 1946...
UF has played 497 games (60.8%) IN conf and 324 OOC (39.2%) (including bowl games).
In the 497 IN conf games 95 (19.2%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 180 (36.2%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
In the 324 OOC games 53 (16.4%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 99 (30.6%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
For comparison:
In the 823 total games USC played 135 (16.4%) T10 teams (yr end) and 245 (29.8%) T25 teams (yr end).
In the 821 total games UF played 148 (18.0%) T10 teams (yr end) and 279 (34.0%) T25 teams (yr end).
So, you go ahead and play the Boise State wannabe game and focus on 1 or 2 games per year. It WILL make you feel better. But, anytime you look at the ENTIRE schedule YOU WILL LOSE.
As far as traveling, again let's look at ALL games...
In the 823 total games USC played 412 games (50.1%) at home and 411 (49.9%) away and neutral sites.
In the 821 total games UF played 391 games (47.6%) at home and 430 (52.4%) away and neutral sites.
For USC
In the 412 home games 52 (12.6%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 106 (25.7%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
For UF
In the 391 home games 49 (12.5%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 102 (26.1%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
For USC
In the 411 away and neutral site games 83 (20.2%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 139 (33.8%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
For UF
In the 430 away and neutral site games 99 (23.0%) were vs T10 teams (yr end) and 177 (41.2%) were vs T25 teams (yr end).
I repeat, you go ahead and play the Boise State wannabe game and focus on 1 or 2 games per year. It WILL make you feel better. But, anytime you look at the ENTIRE schedule YOU WILL LOSE.
