To what end? As I said, winning the Superbowl doesn't prove they cheated or not; just that they shouldn't need to cheat.

So you don't have any examples of them cheating, which means it's a statement that you can make about any team in any sport.

No, I'm reiterating what the ref called. I have no horse in this race. The fact that Pats fans can't get over a penalty call in a Superbowl that they WON is pretty entertaining though.

What's to get over? Just countering your whining.

I have penalties levied by the NFL against said Patriots for their supposed illegal actions, including fines and losing a 1st round pick for illegal videotaping, multiple players suspended for PED use, losing a 3rd round pick for illegal use of the injured reserve list, as well as being fined and losing 1st and 4th round picks (punishment accepted by Kraft) for deflating footballs. Brady was subsequently suspended for 4 games for interfering with the investigation (destroying his phone).

Pointing out the error does not equal "can't get over it".

Carrying on a lengthy board discussion over something that didn't impact the outcome of the game is pretty petty IMO.

Superbowls wins like these prove that they were and are good enough to win Superbowls without the alleged cheating charges from various teams and fan bases.

i.e. "Those Patriots are always up to something.. That would explain why we lost to them"

Punishments levied by a commissioner with unlimited powers is faint proof of anything other than the ability to levy any punishment he wants.

Believe it or not, there has always been "due process" in countries like Russia.

Before they shipped you off to Siberia.

And you failed yet again.

They weren't fined for video taping. They were fined for video taping from an unapproved location. Taping of the sidelines still goes on to this day because it isn't against the rules. They now tape from a booth similar to the press box.

Every single team in the NFL has had players punished for PED use, it's a player issue not a team issue.

3rd round pick for injured reserve list predates this ownership and coaching staff. Took place in 1986. This one proves your desperation.

No footballs were deflated, and they lost air pressure due to natural causes. The punishment had all to do with butt hurt owners.

Brady did not interfere with the investigation, per the league in Federal court. As for the phone the leagues investigative team stated they didn't need it prior to him disposing of it. Further they were provided all the information they were looking for from it. The phone wasn't relevant, nor were they even entitled to it since it's private property.

If you're going to argue that they are serial cheaters you could at least look less like an uninformed moron when doing it.

You're a tard.

Who's whining? I'm agreeing with the call made; another of your Pats buddies is complaining about the call.
That's not what your original post was about. You said the Pats were trying to skirt the rules by calling that play. I pointed out that the refs got the call wrong.

"Belichick always looking for that additional edge, legal or not. Even in the game, he had Shea jumping the center from a slight angle on a kick attempt to try to skirt the rule about being on the line of scrimmage over the center; refs didn't buy it though. Pushing the rules to the limit"

That was what you originally said. You got called out on it, because just like what was said during the broadcast, they got the call wrong.

Pereira gets calls wrong too.

Spin, spin, spin for the Patsies.

Videotaping from an illegal location is indeed illegal videotaping.

I never said other teams haven't been penalized for PEDs, just an example.

I never specified ownership or coaching staff, just the team. No desperation, pulled the info from a webpage (The New England Patriots Complete Cheating History - Your Team Cheats - The Definitive Guide to NFL Cheating).

If the phone wasn't relevant, he would have turned it over and wouldn't have destroyed it.

I never claimed serial cheating, just cheating.

A pretty funny Website. I like the section on WalkthroughGate which seems to keep Marshall Faulk up at night.

Yes. Absolutely. yes. We're not talking about sawing off someone legs here. We're talking about someone abusing his authority and being criticized for it. Some might say rightfully criticized for it.

Saying this Superbowl win was the sweetest ever, given all that's happened is pretty g'dam mild.

it could have been a lot, lot worse.

You realize the players voted for him to have that kind of power and the Owners back him in getting all that power right? So this is like voting somebody into office and then complaining when they actually do something in the position they have been given.

Yeah I realize that. I would imagine people in the NFL were hoping for wisdom from those with such powers. (same for president too I think)

Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't.

I was just commenting that when people cite the large punishments levied on the Patriots as some type of proof of something you have to realize that the ability to declare guilt and levy any type of punishment as you see fit sort of negates much of that as proof of anything but power.

Even if the labor agreement was found to be legal it doesn't mean that Judge Bergman was wrong in calling the prosecution and investigation a sham.
