Ohio St.'s worst nightmare is a rematch against Michigan, on a neutral field but more importantly, with neutral refs.

Gender neutral?

I think regardless of what happens between PSU and wisky in the CCG, if Clemson or Washington lose, I think Michigan moves up to 4.

the committee better hope and pray Clemson and Washington win, but it will open up a huge can of shit arguments. they'll have a mess to deal with.
Yup, I think this vote pretty much assures that the B10 champ is not getting into the playoff. Either it stays the same top 4 or Michigan slips in. If two lose, then it would be an interesting choice the committee has to make. Do they let 3 B10 teams in?

Right. Any team would be scared to play someone they have beaten 14 outta the last 16
No OSU fan is comfortable about the way they won that game last saturday. Michigan was the better team for the majority of that game and shot itself in the foot with turnovers (one of which was a great play by a very skilled OSU defender). But in general, OSU was incapable of moving the ball against our defense. Of the 4 teams in the playoff, OSU is probably like the 3rd scariest to me in front of Washington. I'm pretty confident we're the better team compared to Wash and OSU.

That might be true, but they might also elevate OU at that point.

I think they'd take Colorado ahead of OU. I also think Colorado, if it were to win, would have a better resume than both Wisconsin and PSU, but they are still behind both, so the B1G winner might get selected if this scenario plays out.

I'm perfectly comfortable with the win. You can talk about how Ohio State couldn't move the ball but Michigan moved it even less.

Also, remember when conferences added championship games because they thought without one they'd be at a disadvantage when it came to deciding who goes to the championship/BCS games? Oh how times have changed. This year, the only thing championship games mean is potentially losing your spot in the playoff while teams like Michigan wait around hoping for your spot. Sitting idle this week while being in is the ideal situation. OSU is sitting in the ideal situation.

I think there is a good shot Michigan can get in, of course Clemson or UW have to lose. I doubt Wisconsin will move past Michigan, but if they destroy Penn St then they could possibly.

Michigan is basically in if one of those teams' loses, which is crazy bc that would mean two teams from the same conference made it in the CFP but didn't even win their conference.

That being said, FUCK MICHIGAN! I hope they are #5 after next week lol

If the game results were reversed, I wouldn't want to play my rival twice in a season (especially a game as big as UM vs OSU). That is why I HATED it when the B1G had Michigan and Ohio State on opposite sides of the conference during the first stage of expansion...can you imagine watching that game 2 weeks in a row??

In a national playoff situation, it's unavoidable, but unless all the planets come together, there should be VERY few situations where you ask one team in this rivalry to beat the other team twice in the same season. It really makes the first game worthless.

I am hoping to see the planets align though! :suds:

lol. I'd play mich. again in a heartbeat.

4th quarter yardage
OSU - 125
Mich - 5

and guarantee our FG kicker won't miss two ship shots again, leaving 6 pts on the field which was a huge Christmas gift to the wolverines.

Just promise me Speight starts again.......:dhd:

You could go back and fourth with all of this, because those 6 points probably were deserved but OSU's two TD's probably weren't. Michigan doesn't make those two mistakes, and OSU's offense is left sputtering most of the game. I still think Michigan outplayed them significantly for 3 quarters.

I'd love to see that historic rematch in the playoff. That would be the most watched game probably ever in the sport.

This committee was sold to everyone as being a committee that chooses who they think are the best 4 teams. I do think conference champions should get an advantage, but not at the sake of head to head. If Colorado were to win the Pac 12 championship, Michigan would have beaten both the Pac 12 champs and the B1G champs this season.

Penn St should have ZERO playoff chances IMO. You can't lose by 39 points to a team and expect the committee to vote you ahead of that team when you have identical records...even if you win the conference championship.

We should not be throwing you guys such lobs ... I just think some people live in an alternate universe. They have the hate (respect for that), but they are out of touch of what had happened in this universe. Also, I will be calling some of my friends at University of Michigan and encourage the mandatory study of Sun Tzu's "Art of War".

OSU had 3 drives of over 60 yards. michigan had 0 over 55. Stop cherry-picking.

That ended in? Thing about spread offenses is that they tend to sputter once the field shrinks. Moreover, did Michigan have 50 yards to drive at any point in the first 3 quarters? Maybe once or twice?

Right, one of your TDs was given to you because we foolishly went for a fake FG with the best punter in the nation rather than pin you deep in your own territory. We can keep playing this stupid round and round game all day.
