If ohio state stays with one loss (and that's a big if), ohio state has to be in the playoff. They are the 2nd best team in college football. No other team (conference champion or not) would be more deserving. Keep looking ahead to the playoffs and take your mind of the current ... please

I'm not bc right now...Ohio St might be a team that can compete with the best but they aren't playing good enough right now. Michigan is easily going to be the toughest game of the year and they will have to play their best. I didn't think this year would be the year for Ohio St, I thought it was last year or a couple years from now honestly so whatever happens happens.

That beat a bad team by 50 and they didn't have a great resume.

You don't drop from 3 to 6 after that.

That's the definition of no reason for dropping.

OSU is ranked 2nd right now based on their resume being 2nd best according to the committee. However the committee doesn't have all the variables yet
At WORST winning your league title makes up 25% of a teams resume ( and that's if you believe the committee doesn't value it more than the other criteria). Buckeyes fans like to point to their resume all the time when talking wins and losses but many of them gloss right over the fact theyre going to be lacking a HUGE piece of that resume. Not winning your league title is akin to playing no ranked teams all year. Doesn't automatically disqualify you, just makes it tougher

The resume is a big part of it, the conference championship is a big part of it but then you have to sit down and ask yourself who the 4 best teams are ultimately. It could sort itself out so maybe the committee won't have to make some tough decisions.

But did they really?

Doesn't matter if you want call it a win or loss. Just the fact a middle of the MAC team had the chance to beat you on your home field tells me you are nowhere near a top 4 team.

The Big 12 is a disaster this year. Ask a Big 12 fan what the best OOC win was for the conference. You won't get an answer.

Are you sure? Because didn't Ohio St beat a #13 ranked team by 59. What you said makes zero sense.

As much as I hate ohio state (and I do), they are having a pretty good year for "it not being their year". Michigan will not take them for granted. I believe we will be prepared ... no whining if we lose (we are 7 point underdogs).

As compared to OSU needing to stop a 2 pc against a team that got destroyed by BYU?

MSU can do it, but it's going to be tough. Since the night PSU beat us, they've averaged over 45 points and game in offense. They're also pretty good at defending the run. If it's a nice day and MSU can effectively throw the ball, they can win it.

Have to hope for bad weather. Michigan St loves that shit lol. A 9-6 type of game

I don't disagree, for having 6 returning starters it has been a hell of a year for a young team. 7 point favorite is A LOT for a team that looked unbeatable for most of the year. I hate when my team is favored in general lol

Yes they are. 24th. Look at the CFP rankings not the polls

Yeah they climbed back in, still...2 top 25 wins is not a good resume but they will have a good loss and a conference title.

I looked at the new AP Poll. The new one comes out tonight so they might move up a couple spots.

My assumption would be that they will stay about where they are. They play Rice in their final game so they will end up ranked more than likely.

Yes -- the OSU who absolutely embarrassed OU on their home field.
