We all realize this right?

I mean, everyone knows they won't let us play 'Bama in the first round.

'Bama would have to lose to Auburn or Florida for us to get in at #4.

Sadly that is not the case. A 1 loss Bama would certainly ge tin over us. Wish we had a conference championship game this year that 13th game could help us though the chance of us making it would still be very slim. The weakness of the Big 12 this year hurts us also hurting us is the refs cheating OSU out of that Central Michigan win.

We need the exposure honestly, even if we lose. Sad to say that....but this media landscape we're in dictates it. ESPN will protect their interests by steering the narrative away from the BigXII and PAC due to their deals with FOX.

Scheduling tough early really didn't do a damn thing for us, did it? Losses to the #2 and #26 teams don't mean shit when compared with losses of other teams in the committee's eyes.

We have a better SOS OOC than WISC/PSU and they both have two losses, but they beat higher ranked conference foes. Everyone rating 1-loss WVU way below 2 and even 3 loss teams hurts. I bet Ok. State doesn't raise a single fucking spot...guess why?

Better SOS OOC than LOUISVILLE/WASHINGTON too, but they only have one loss.

I hope our admin starts looking at these brass tacks. Tough OOC scheduling is stupid now. Too much risk, too little reward.
Louisville has 2 losses. They're toast

Not even crazy stuff...Mich wins out...Wash loses again...OU wins out...Clemson wins out...they're in as #4...so it's not that crazy..
'bama, Clemson, Mich, OU are in...the rest is noise

Not a chance OU with 2 losses get in over OSU with 2 losses. Unless the committee didn't have a TV when OSU hammered OU in their own house.

Unfortunately for OU. They have one win vs a team ranked in the CFP top 25. That is WVU, who has zero wins against the CFP top 25.

The Big 12 is just a mess right now and that kills any chance for OU, after getting handled convincingly twice in OOC.

That loss to Houston early in the season really cost Oklahoma any chance of making the playoffs.

1 why would bans losing have any bearing?
2 OKST is going to make this all moot anyhow.

While it looks like the Big 12 and PAC 12 conferences aren't up to par this year, there are probably a handful of teams in both conferences that several of the potential playoff teams that would probably have a lot of trouble beating said teams on a neutral field. Especially if they get some players healthy.

We just aren't a Playoff Caliber Team right now.
Sure, if we made it, we might get lucky once. But we're not going to get lucky twice.
If Ohio State makes it in, who want's to see that rematch. That game has already been played.
I have never been a fan of rematches at that level.

I have an idea. You need a defense. We need an offense. We can join forces and do some damage.

I'm not either...but we were forced into a Bama/LSU one a few years ago. There must be some people that don't mind 'em.

What I don't like is you guys being punished for being willing to play a good OOC. Had you not been willing to do that, you'd be 11-0 and everyone would be oohing and aahing....when in fact, you'd still be the same team in reality.

For OU to make it

1.) OU wins out
2.) Michigan beats OSU
3.) Minnesota beats Wisconsin
4.) Minnesota beats Michigan in championship game
5.) Washington loses to WA St.
6.) Colorado loses to Utah

I think they should get in if all this happens

I'll be curious to see how Michigan D holds up when they face an offense with a pulse.

Well OU is up to #7 so if they win next week it looks pretty good for them with all the Big 10 teams ahead of them beating each other up.

UM's defense is stacked. Taco Charlton and Peppers will most likely be first round picks in next year's draft. And Jourdan Lewis will get drafted no later than the 2nd. Ryan Glasgow will go sometime in the top 3 rounds. On top of those guys, Chris Wormley, Channing Stribbling and Maurice Hurst will all get drafted.

Rashaun Gary was the #1 recruit in the country and looked at as the best prospect since JaDaveon Clowney. He is a backup on the DL.

There are very few holes on the team. The biggest is at safety as they can be beat deep in the middle of the field. But you have to give the WR the time to run the route and then the QB needs to make the throw.

The only defense in the country I'd trade Michigan's for is Alabama.

Again, I look forward to seeing what they do against an offense with a pulse.

Other two loss teams of note:
Wisconsin
Penn St
Colorado
Louisville

Only Wisconsin is a clearly better team but they could lose in the CCG

I wouldn't get my hopes up Wishbone. If OSU loses, do you think you are leapfrogging them? If OSU wins and PSU goes on to the CCG against Wisconsin. Do you think OU is going ahead of a 2 loss Wisconsin, who took OSU to OT or a 2 loss PSU who beat OSU?

You would need totally anarchy to happen in the Pac-12 to have a shot to get in. If Washington State wins out -- you'd have a chance.

OU has the resume of teams on their schedule, but they don't have the wins -- the losses to OSU and Houston killed OU's shot. Their best win is against WVU, who has zero wins in the CFP top 25.

Everyone must remember the #1 thing the committee uses to rank teams is Conference Championships and #2 is SOS. I think UW will lose one more game so the BIG will have two teams in anyways.
